Arrested: Jorge Rios-Rivas, 27 years old, Santa Fe, NM, 87507
Santa Fe Sheriff Deputy Coles observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on 84/285. The vehicle was stopped at which an odor of alcoholic beverages were detected. The driver was asked to exit the vehicle to preform SFST's. The driver showed mulitple signs of impairment. Jorge Rios-Rivas submitted to a breath test. The test confirmed the presence of alcoholic beverages on the driver. Jorge Rios-Rivera was booked into the Santa Fe County Detention Center accordingly.

Santa Fe County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a reported motor vehicle burglary on the West Frontage Road at the Botanical Gardens. Contact was made with the victim who stated that between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00p.m. on 08-14-16 suspect(s) gained unalwful entry into the victims vehicle. Once entry was gained the suspect(s) took electronics and various credit cards from within the vehicle. This case remains under investigation.

Arrested: Donald Atencio 24 years old, Dixon, Nm, 87527
Santa Fe County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the area of Interstate 25, mile marker 271 in reference to a reported driver that was swerving. The driver was located near Miguel Chavez Road. A traffic stop was conducted at which time an odor of alcoholic beverages was detected. SFT's were administered, the driver showed signs of impairment and was arrested. Donald submitted to a breath alcohol test. Upon confirmtion of the presence to alcohol,Donald Atencio was booked into the Santa Fe County Detention Center.

Santa Fe County Sheriff's Deputies responded to an address on Camino Vista Grande in reference to a reported burglary. Deputies arrived on scene and made contact with the victim who reported between 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on August 14, 2016 suspect(s) gained unlawful entry to the victims home. Once entry was gained suspect(s) took US currency from within the home. The scene was processed for evidence. This case remains under investigation.

Person Arrested- Francisco Talamante 31 yo Santa Fe
Deputies were dispatched to the above location regarding a domestic dispute. Victim advised that the above suspect had slapped her in the face and yelled obscenities at her. Suspect was arrested and booked accordingly.

On 08/14/16 Deputies were dispatched to the above location for an Ambulance Assistance call. Upon arrival the above individual was found laying on the ground. Life saving techniques were unsuccessful. The decedent had a lengthy medical history. No signs of foul play were observed.

On 08/14/16 Deputies responded to the above location in regards to an unresponsive female. Upon arrival a 60 year old female was found deceased. Cause of death is pending Office of the Medical Investigator autopsy. No foul play was observed.

Charges: Driving While License is Revoked Roadway Laned for Traffic, and Resisting or Obstructing an Officer
On 08-13-16 the above individual was stopped for a traffic violation (Roadway Laned for Traffic). Upon making contact with the driver, it was learned his license was revoked. Upon taking the above individual into custody he did resist arrest. He was taken into custody without further incident and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility. The vehicle he was operating ( 1992 Dodge Van) was seized per the Santa Fe County Seizure Ordinance.

Charges: Aggravated DWI, Failure to Maintain Lane of Travel.
On 08-12-16 the above individual was involved in a motor vehicle crash on Hyde Park Road. During the investigation it was observed the above individual showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest for DWI. The above individual did submit to chemical testing and was found to have a breath alcohol content twice the legal limit. He was booked accordingly into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.
