Charges: Aggravated DWI, Careless Driving, Driving While License is Suspended
On Monday, November 28, 2016 at approximately 2:53am, Deputy responded to location in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Deputy observed the vehicle went off the roadway and crashed into a ditch. Deputy identified the driver as the suspect who displayed signs of impairment. The Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered and the suspect showed signs of impairment. Suspect was placed under arrest for DWI. Suspect was read the New Mexico Implied Consent Advisory and refused to submit to chemical testing. Driver was run through N.C.I.C. and returned with a suspended driver and had at least one prior DWI on his record. Suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident. Vehicle was seized under the Santa Fe County Seizure Ordinance 2006-5 amended 2013-5.

Charges: Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Prisoner, Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon.
On Monday, November 28, 2016 at approximately 1:45am, Deputy responded to location in reference to an aggravated battery. Suspect had battered the victim using a makeshift knife. Suspect was already an inmate of the facility. Suspect was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident. No one received any life-threatening injuries as a result of this incident.

Person Arrested- Joanna Preston 68 yo Santa Fe
Deputies responded to the above listed area regarding a possible intoxicated driver. Upon locating the vehicle, deputies observed careless driving and initiated a traffic stop. Contact was made with the above listed person. Deputies smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath and field sobriety tests were administered. Subject showed signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested and was booked accordingly.

Suspect: Jesse Martinez - Santa Fe, NM
Charges: Driving while Revoked
Deputy was taking a report on suspicious activity when he observed a vehicle matching the description of a suspect vehicle. The above suspect was observed switching seats with a passenger in the vehicle. The vehicle was stopped and the original driver (Martinez) was found to have been operating the vehicle with a revoked driver’s license.
The suspect was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.
0216018255 – Aggravated DWI – 11-23-16

Location: Kicks 66 - Pojoaque
Suspect: Shawn McDermott – 46 - Santa Fe, NM
Charges: Aggravated DWI
The security officer at Kicks 66 observed the suspect stumble from the driver’s seat of his vehicle and go inside to purchase alcoholic beverages. He was denied the purchase of alcoholic beverages and deputies were able to contact him in his vehicle before he was able to leave the parking lot. The suspect showed signs of impairment on the Field Sobriety Tests and then refused to take an Intoxilyzer Test.
The suspect was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility on the charge of Aggravated DWI.

On above date Deputy Chastain was dispatched to Camino De Quintana. Upon arrival it was determined unknown suspects gained entry into the vehicle through an unlocked door and stole the above item. The case is under investigation.

Victim reported sometime between 5:30pm on 11-21-2016 and today's date (11-22-2016) around 7:45am, unknown suspect(s) gained forced entry into his vehicle and stole above mentioned items. Case is still under investigation.

Location: Wiemer Road, Edgewood, NM
Decedent: 61 Year old female
Deputies responded to a medial assistance call at the decedents residence. Paramedics were already at the location rendering medical aid to no avail. No signs of foul play were determined during the course of the investigation. OMI was called to the location and will determine the final cause of death.

On 11-22-16 between 1:30pm and 5:00pm someone broke into three different vehicles in the parking lot of the IAIA and tampered with the ignitions in an attempt to steal the vehicles. A witness reported seeing a suspicious male driving a silver in color 1990's model Honda car with heavy right side damage.
