On Thursday, May 26, 2016 at approximately 3:48am, deputy responded to location in reference to an inmate found in possession of a controlled substance. Suspect was found in possession of a syringe and suspected Suboxone. Suspect was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

On Thursday, May 25, 2016 at approximately 10:42pm, deputies responded to location in reference to a purse snatching. An unknown suspect struggled to get the victim's purse. The purse fell to the ground and the suspect picked up the purse and left the area. Investigation is ongoing.

Person Arrested- Huber Castro-Estrada 19yo Santa Fe
Above person was observed not stopping at posted stop sign. When Deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, driver failed to stop. Once stopped, driver was arrested. Upon searching the vehicle drug paraphernaiia was located. He was booked accordingly.

Items Taken- Purse, Driver license, credit cards
Between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm on 5-24-2016, unknown subjects forced entry into a 1994 Isuzu Trooper through the passenger window and took the above listed items. The driver license and two credits were recovered by a pedestrian in the vicinity of Old Las Vegas Hwy. Case is under investigation.

On Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at approximately 2:35am, deputy responded to location in reference to a fight. It was learned the suspect had battered the victim. Victim had some minor injuries and was taken to the hospital to be treated. No one received any life threatening injuries as a result of this incident. Suspect was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

Deputies responded to location in reference to a domestic dispute. Upon their arrival, Deputies learned that during the dispute the listed person while battering the victim, placed the victim in a situation where the life and health of the victim were jeapordized. The listed person was arrested and taken to jail.

Victim reports receiving a letter in the mail advising that an order that was placed was too large and the company was requesting advance payment in the amount of $549.89 prior to processing the order. Case is under investigation.

On Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at approximately 2:48am, deputies responded to location in reference to a male, who was unresponsive. Medics were unable to revive the male. The Office of the Medical Investigator were called to the scene. OMI did not believe the death was suspicious in nature.

Suspect: Pennie Soto, 20, Santa Fe, NM
Charges: Receiving, Transferring Stolen Motor Vehicle; Concealing Identity
On Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at about 12:43am, Deputy made contact with the suspect, who was inside the vehicle. Suspect provided a false name and the vehicle returned stolen out of N.C.I.C. Suspect was placed under arrest, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.
