On Friday, April 22, 2016, at about 9:51pm, Deputy responded to the Wal-Mart in Edgewood in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle that had occurred at another location. An unknown suspect(s) entered the vehicle, which was unlocked, and removed a cellular phone and a handgun. Investigation is ongoing.

Charges: Burglary of a Motor Vehicle, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property
On Friday, April 22, 2016 at about 8:47pm, Deputy responded to location in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle. An unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the vehicle by breaking a window and removed a laptop computer and a purse containing personal items. Investigation is ongoing.

Arrested: Barbara Vigil, age 51
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding. During the investigation the deputy learned the driver had an outstanding warrant for her arrest, out of Rio Arriba Magistrate court for failure to appear. The driver was arrested without incident and booked into the Santa Fe County Jail.

Arrested: Arthur Ward, age 26
Deputies responded to the jail in regards to an inmate possessing narcotics. When the deputy arrived he learned the above suspect was in possession of suboxone. The suspect was re-booked on the above charges.

Deputies were dispatched to the jail in regards to an inmate striking a correctional officer. When the deputy arrived he met with the victim, who reported the above suspect tackled him after he open the cell door. The above suspect was re-booked on the above charges.

Suspect: Desirae Valdez, 27, Santa Fe, NM
Charges: Minimum Speed Required, Resisting or Evading Police, Driving While License Revoked
On Friday, Apirl 22, 2016 at about 12:02am, vehicle was involved in a possible road rage incident while driving at a very slow speed. An attempt to stop the vehicle was made and the vehicle refused to stop. The vehicle eventually came to a stop and contact was made with the driver. A check on the driver's driving history was conducted, which returned with a revoked driver's license with the 66-8-122G arrest clause attached. Driver was placed under arrest, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility. Vehicle was seized under the Santa Fe County Ordinance 2006-5 Amended 2013-5.

Suspect: Fidel Delgado, 35, Santa Fe, NM
Charges: Aggravated DWI, Driving While License is Suspended, Open Container, and Resisting an Officer in a Motor Vehicle
On Friday, April 22, 2016 at about 12:02am, vehicle appeared to be involved in a possible road rage incident. An attempt was made to stop the vehicle and the vehicle refused to stop. Vehicle eventually came to a stop and the driver showed signs of impairment. The Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered and the driver displayed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest for DWI. Driver was read the New Mexico Implied Consent Advisory and refused to submit to testing. An open container of alcohol was located within the vehicle. Suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident. A check on the suspect's driving history was conducted and the suspect had at least one prior DWI arrest. Vehicle was seized under the Santa Fe County Ordinance 2006-5 amended 2013-5

Between 4:30 pm and 7:20 pm, subjects broke the driver side window of a 2008 Mercury Milan and took the above listed items. Case is under investigation.

Location: I-25 Northbound – 268 Mile Marker
Suspect: Jacob Meno – 28 – No kmown address
Charges: DWI - Speeding – Driver to be licensed
Deputy was stationary on I-25 when he detected a vehicle at 100 MPH on his radar. Upon stopping the vehicle the deputy found that the driver did not have a driver’s license and he showed signs of impairment. After a DWI investigation the driver registered a 0.11 and a 0.12 on a Breathalyzer.
The driver was booked into the Santa Fe County Detention Facility on the above charges.
