Victim: Male, 49, Santa Fe, NM

On Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 11:48 AM, Deputy responded to location in reference to a fraud. An unknown suspect(s) sent the victim a check in the male for work. Suspect(s) asked victim to send some of the money to two seperate locations. The original check was a fraudulent check and did not clear. Victim had lost more than $500 due to the transactions. Investigation is ongoing.


Case #0215012320, Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle

Location: Mustang Road, Edgewood, NM

Vehicle: 2009 black HMDE Utility Trailer

Victim: Male, 38, Edgewood, NM

Charges: Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle, Larceny

On Thursday, August 6, 2015, at 11:52 AM, Deputy responded to location in reference to a stolen motor vehicle. An unknown suspect(s) removed the trailer and a tongue hitch from the property. Investigation is ongoing.

 


Case #0215012300, Burglary (Residential)

Location: Camino Del Monte, Santa Fe, NM

Victim: Male, 65, Santa Fe, NM

Charges: Burglary (Residential), Larceny

On Thursday, August 6, 2015, at 7:22 AM, Deputy responded to location in reference to a residential burglary. An unknown suspect(s) entered the victim's locked bedroom and removed a key to the bedroom and more than $2,500 in US currency. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence or the bedroom. Investigation is ongoing.


0215012288, Battery Against a Household Member, 8/5/15

location: Walnut Street  Cottonwood Mobile Home Park

Suspect: Tomas Vigil  Age: 37  Santa Fe

Tomas Vigil was arrested for Battery against a Household Member after deputies responded to a domestic dispute and learned that he had battered a household member, Victim suffered minor injury.


SFCSO case # 0215012273/ Aggravated assault on a household member and Aggravated battery on a household member/ 08-05-2015

Location: Camino Sombra, Espanola, NM 87532 (Santa Fe County)

Deputies responded to a call of a domestic disturbance at the location. The victim advised her and her boyfriend engaged in a verbal altercation and the altercation turned physical. The victim advised the suspect pulled out a folding knife, put it to her neck and the victim received a three (3) inch (approximately) cut to her neck (Non- life threatening). This case is still under investigation.


SFCSO Case #0215012260/ Death Investigation/ 08-05-2015

Commander entering: Cpl. James C. Yeager

Deputy assigned: Dep. Eric Eccles

Location: Carlson Road, SF, NM 87508

Deceased: Male, 20 years of age, Santa Fe, New Mexico 87508.

Deputies responded to the above address in reference to an unconscious, not breathing, unresponsive male. CPR was conducted, however life saving measures were unsuccessful. The Office of the Medical Examiner was called to the scene to investigate the matter further. No signs of foul play were observed at the scene. Next of kin was aware of the death as they were on scene.


0215012187 / Fraud / 8-4-2015

Location: Camino de los Gardunos      Santa FE,NM

Victim reported to deputy that on July 27, 2015 he recieved an email requesting his personal information which he provided. Vicitm stated he was alerted that a withdrawl from his bank was made without his consent. Case is under investigation.


0215012240 – Burglary (Residential) – 08-04-15

Deputy Assigned:  Dep.M. Jaramillo

Commander Entering: Cpl. R. J. Clark

Location: Francisco Lane (Tesuque Area)

Victim reported that sometime between 1:30pm and 7:00pm on 08-04-15 her residence was burglarized. Forced entry was gained by the shattering a rear window and then opening a door. Taken in the burglary was one ounce of medical marijuana, a black computer tablet and $ 286.00 in U.S. Currency.

The burglary is under investigation


0215012200 - DWI - 08-04-15

Deputy Assigned:  Dep.R. Garcia

Commander Entering: Cpl. R. J. Clark

Location: US 84/285 – MM-172

Arrested Person: Tenika Varela – Age 37 – Pecos, NM

Deputy was dispatched to assist the Santa Fe City Police with a traffic stop on a vehicle that had been involved in a motor vehicle crash.  The driver left the scene of the crash and later stopped on US 84/285. Upon contact with the driver she was observed to be visibly impaired. The driver admitted to taking prescription medication prior to operating her vehicle.

The driver was arrested and taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital for a legal blood draw and was subsequently booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility


0215012226 - Unlawful taking of a Motor Vehicle - 08-04-15

Location:  Sycamore Loop (Cottonwood MHP)

Victim reported that sometime between 6:00pm on 08-02-15 and 7:00pm on 08-04-15 someone gained entry into a shed by prying the door open. Taken was a 2007 black and silver Yamaha Raptor valued at $ 3,500.00.

The theft is under investigation.
