Suspects used a stolen credit card & stolen identity to check a room out at the Motel 6. Suspects were lnked to a case that was investigated the day before on 4/21/15. Suspects were interviewed and arrested.


0215005925 / Burglary, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property / 04-22-15

Location: 3494 Agua Fria (San Isidro Catholic Church)

Stolen: Brown in color wallet

On 04-22-15 between 7:00PM and 8:55PM someone broke the passenger front window of the victim's Chevrolet Uplander and stole a wallet from inside the vehicle.  This occured while the vehicle was parked in the church parking lot. 

 


0215005937 / Reckless driving, Resisting evading, Driving while license revoked, Possession of Marijuana / 04-23-15

Location: Airport Road

Arrested: Leroy Montoya, 21-year-old male from Santa Fe N.M.

On 04-23-15 at approximately 2:06AM The defendant was observed driving a white Kia Optima traveling west on Airport Road at a high rate of speed and in a reckless manner.  An attempt was made to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle.  The vehicle turned onto Paseo Del Sol and then east onto Jaguar Drive failing to stop.  At that point the decision was made not to pursue the vehicle.  Another patrol unit intercepted the vehicle on Jaguar Drive and South Meadows and the vehicle then came to a stop.  The driver/above defendant was then taken into custody on the above charges. 


SFCSO Case #0215005936/ Possession of a controlled substance/ 04-23-2015

Location: #28 Camino Justicia Santa Fe, New Mexico 87508 (SFCADF)

Arrested: Abeyta, Paul; 29 years of age; San Juan Pueblo, NM 87566

Deputies responded to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility in regards to an inmate possessing a controlled substance. Correctional Officers observed the above stated suspect acting suspiciously and that he had a cellophane bag in his hand. The inmate was searched and a cellophane bag with a suspected crushed narcotic was located on the suspects person. The above deputy questioned the suspect and the suspect advised the substance was Xanax. The substance was taken as evidence and will be taken to the New Mexico Forensic Labratory for further analysis and true weight. The suspect was re-booked on the above stated charge.

Deputy responded to location in reference to an activated alarm. Upon arrival, the Deputy observed forced entry into the structure. No items were reported missing when the owner of the property arrived. Case is under investigation.

Complainant reported that unknown persons stole the grave marker to a grave site and damaged the fencing surrounding the site. Case is under investigation.


Case #0215005913, Unlawful Taking of Motor Vehicle

Victim: Male, 29, Santa Fe, NM

Vehicle: Silver GMC Canyon

On Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 5:02 PM, Deputy responded to location in reference to an unlawful taking of a motor vehicle. Victim advised an unknown suspect(s) removed the vehicle from location. Vehicle was located and recovered by Albuquerque Police and returned to the victim.

Suspect: Victor Yanez, 28, Santa Fe, NM

On Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 5:17 PM, Deputy responded to location in reference to a fight. Suspect attacked victim and struck the victim with a closed fist. Suspect was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident. Victim had non-life threatening injuries.

Charges: Burglary (Residential), Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property

On Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 4:28 PM, Deputy responded to location in reference to a residential burglary. It was discovered that an unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the residence by forcing open one of the doors, causing damage to the door. Suspect(s) removed electronic items from the residence.

Arrested: Moreno, Johnny 33yoa, Santa Fe NM
Arrested: Stroeder, Danielle 29yoa, Santa Fe

On April 20th, 2015 SFSO Detectives recieved a report of unidentified inidividuals using possible stolen credit cards at te above location. Loss Prevention employees stated the inidviduals attempted to use three credit cards issued to three separate individuals. after investigation the above suspects were identified and it was confirmed they were using stolen credit cards. The above suspects admitted to their involvement in the incident. The suspects advised they were stealing mail from Santa Fe County residences looking for credit cards. They were later arrested and booked on the above charges. The investigation is on-going in an attempted to indentify additional suspects in this case.
