0214010271 / Driving while license is revoked; Possession of Marijuana; Shoplifting / 6-30-2014

Suspect: Crystal Archuleta       Age: 30     Santa Fe,NM

The listed suspect was stopped by Deputies after she was observed operating a vehicle on Agua Fria Street and was a suspect in a shoplifting that had just occurred. Deputies verified that the suspect was the one involved in the theft and also learned that she had her drivers license revoked with the arrest clause. Suspect was arrested and she was then found to have in her possession suspected marijuana. Suspect was taken to jail where she was booked accordingly.

Victim reported to Deputy that sometime between June 28, 2014 and June 30, 2014 at 5:10 p.m., unknown persons forced entry into the home and stole the listed type of items. Case is under investigation.

Deputies responded to an activated alarm and discovered a forced open window.  Upon investigation they discovered the home had been burglarized. Home owner arrived and a jewelry box containing misc. jewlrey is reported missing.  Case is under investigation.

Location: Camino Barranca, Santa Fe, NM, 87507 (Aldea Area)

 On June 30, 2014 Santa Fe County Sheriff Deputies responded to the area of Camino Barranca in reference to a reported breaking and entering incident. Santa Fe County Sheriff Deputies arrived and made contact with the victim who stated that between 06/28/14 and 06/29/14 suspects forced entry into the victims home. Entry was gained, but it appears nothing was taken at this time. This case remains under investigation at this time.

 On June 30, 2014 Santa Fe Sheriff Deputies responded to the area of Santa Fe Trail in reference to a reported burglary. Deputies made contact with the victim who stated that sometime between 7:00 pm -9:00 pm onJune 29, 2014 suspects gained unauthorized entry into the victims home. Once entry was gained, suspects took an electronic from the home. This case remains under investigation.

Victim reports 2005 BMW was damaged by what appears to be scratches from a key, while parked at the market. Eestimated damages of about $2500.00.  Case is under investigation.

 On June 29, 2014 Santa Fe Sheriff's Deputies responded to the area of Santa Fe County Road 84 in reference to a reported burglary. Contact was made with the victim who advised that  between June 28th 2014 at 10:30pm and June 29th 2014 at 10:00 am unknown suspects gained unauthorized entry into the victims address. Once entrance was gained suspects took US currency and various consumables. This case remains under investigation.

Charged:  DWI, Careless Driving, Slt Belt Use Required, Mandatory Proof of Financial 

                 Responsibility

On Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 9: 39 PM the suspect was operating the vehicle west at the location attempting to negotiate a right curve.  For reason(s) unknown the suspect lost control of the vehicle allowing it to leave the roadway on the left side, striking a dirt embankment and a wooden fence.  The suspect was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and no proof of insurance could be located in the vehicle.  The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and submitted to a Blood Alcohol Test.  Results of that test are pending.  The suspect sustained a head injury and was admitted to Christus Saint Vincent Regional Medical Center for treatment of her injury.

Suspect:  Diego T. Maestas, 30, Espanola, NM

Charged:  Careless Driving, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia,

                 Careless Driving, Arrest Order - Probation Violation

On Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 6:24 PM the suspect was operating the vehicle south at the location when he struck another vehicle from behind.  The suspect was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana.  The suspect was also found to be in possession of a straw and a bottle cap which had been used to ingest a controlled substance.  The suspect is under the control of the New Mexico Department of Corrections (Probation and Parole Division) and an Arrest Order was issued for the suspect for violating his conditions of probation.
