Location: 3500 block of Jon Kim Lane, Santa Fe, NM (Agua Fria Area)

Arrested: Garen Coriz 32 yoa male, Santa Fe, NM

Charges: Assault on a Peace Officer

Deputies responded to the above location in reference to a possible domestic disturbance.  Victim reported that she had been a verbal argument with her husband, who was highly intoxicated and verbally abusive to her.  While deputies were on scene assisting the victim gather her belongings to leave for the evening, the above suspect became aggressive towards deputies.  He clenched his fists and took a fighting stance at deputies while ignoring commands.  He then grabbed at a Deputy's arm where he was assisted to the ground and placed under arrest.  The above was booked and charged accordingly without further incident. 


Case#: 0214005528/ DWI, Roadway laned for Traffic/Date: 04-13-2014

Location: Interstate 25 Mile Marker 292 Northbound, Santa Fe, NM

Arrested: Margo Martinez 25 yoa female, Rancho de Taos, NM

Charges: DWI, Roadway laned for Traffic

Deputy was flagged down by a passing motorst about a white in color Camaro unable to maintain its lane of travel and driving slow in the area of I-25 heading northbound.  Deputy located the vehicle after observing it traveling around 45mph in a posted 75mph zone.  Deputy also observed the vehicle failing to maintain its lane of travel.  A traffic stop was conducted, at which time upon contact with the driver an odor of an intoxicating beverage was detected.  Driver submitted to SFST's and showed signs of impairment.  Driver was arrested and read the New Mexico Implied Consent Advisory.  Driver agreed to be tested resulting in a .11/.10 BrAC.  The vehicle was seized pursuant to the Santa Fe County Ordinance 2006-5.  Driver was booked and charged accordingly without further incident. 


Case#  0214005499 Death Investigation

Location:  C ities of Gold Road, Pojoaque, NM

Victim:  Male, 42, Santa Fe, NM

On Sunday April 13, 2014 at 12:57 AM EMS and deputies responded to a facility at the location .  Upon arrival the victim was found to be unresponsive.  Attempts to revive the victim met with negative results and he was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.  The victim sufferred from several medical conditions.  Foul play is not suspected in this incident.


Case #0214005426 DWI 04-12-2014

Location: Bronze Sky Road/ Ana Maria Lane

Dispatch recieved a 911 call in reference to a reckless driver. Upon contact with the driver, she was found to have struck a concrete median and sustained a flat tire. Driver admitted to taking several medications and showed multiple signs of impairment during field sobriety tests. Driver was arrested and taken to St. Vincent's Hospital for a blood draw in accordance with the New Mexico Implied Consent Act. Driver was than booked into Santa Fe County Jail.

Charges: Battery against a household member, Criminal damage to property

Suspect: Raul Trinidad-Enriquez

Victim: Ariana Avita-Lopez

Vehicle: none

On April 12, 2014 Deputies were dispatched tot eh residence of 2284 Henry Lynch Road in reference to a family abuse argument. During the course of the investigation Deputies learned that the suspect entered the residence without consent. While in the residence he began to argue with the victim. During the course of the argument the suspect began to throw rocks at the victims’ vehicle causing damage to that vehicle. In an attempt to stop further damage from being caused the victim placed herself between the suspect and the vehicle . As a result the suspect pushed the victim so that he could continue damaging the vehicle. The suspect was arrested and taken to ADC without incident.


Case# 0214005445 Driving While License Revoked

Vehicle:  Blue, 1979, Chevy, Pick-up

Suspect:  Robert A. Lopez, 21, Edgewood, NM

Charged:  Driving While License Revoked, Tail Lamps Required, Mandatory Proof of

                 Financial Responsibility, Display of Registration

On Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 12:52 AM the suspect was operating the vehicle west at the location without a lighted license plate lamp.  A check with the New Mexico Department of Motor Vehicles revealed that the suspect's driver's license is revoked with the Arrest Clause attached.  This check also revealed that the vehicle registration had expired on June 30, 2013.  The suspect was unable to produce proof of insurance upon request.  The vehicle was seized pursuant to Ssanta Fe County Ordinance 2006-5.


Case# 0214005442 Resisting or Obstructing an Officer

Suspect:  Ramirez-Soto, Jose O.  25, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Resisting or Obstructing an Officer, Stop Sign Violation, Roadways Laned for

                 Traffic, Open Container, Display of Registration, Driving While License

                 Suspended

On Friday, April 11, 2014 at 11:30 PM deputies were responding to a reported Domestic Disturbance on Jaramillo Lane.  The suspect fled the area in the vehicle.  The suspect was observed operating the vehicle south at the location and failed to stop for a posted stop sign.  The suspect was also unable to maintain a single lane of travel.  When given a visual command to stop (emergency lights) the suspect failed to bring the vehicle to a stop and traveled approximately .25 miles before stopping.  The suspect was found to be in possession of open bottles of Corona Beer.  The registration should be displayed on another vehicle and the suspect's privilege to operate a motor vehicle in New Mexico has been suspended.  There was no Domestic Disturbance at the original location, the suspect was just operating the vehicle carelessly at that location.


Case # 0214005396 Driving while under the influence of an intoxicanting liquor or drug

Suspect: Kenneth Miller

Vehicle: 1993 GMC Pickup Blue/Blue

Charges: Driving while under the influence of an intoxicating liquor or drug

On April 10th 2014 Deputies were dispatched to the location of 55 Ogo Wii Road in reference to a motor vehicle collision, hit and run. Upon arrival to the location Deputies found that a light pole had been struck by a vehicle which caused damage to the property. The vehicle which had left the scene was located at space #605. Contact was made with the driver of the vehicle who was later found to be impaired by an intoxicant. The driver was identified as Kenneth Miller 51 yo male. Miller was arrested and subsequently submitted to a blood draw to determine his blood alcohol level. The samples which were collected will be sent to the Scientific Laboratory Division for analysis.

Victim: Lee Pack 46yo male

On April 10th 2014 Deputies responded to the location of 9 Old Dog Run in reference to a reported ambulance assist. While responding Deputies learned that medical personnel had arrived on-scene and found Lee Pack deceased. During the course of the investigation it was found that Pack had an unusual medical episode earlier in the day. No signs of foul play were observed during the investigation. OMI was summoned to the scene to conduct their investigation.


Case # 0214005397 Burglary (Auto), Criminal damage to property, Larceny

Vehicle:

On April 10th 2014 Deputies responded to the location of 96 Old Las Vegas Highway in reference to a reported auto burglary. During the course of their investigation Deputies learned that between the hours of 3:00 pm and 10:40 pm and unknown suspect entered the victims vehicle without consent or permission. While inside the vehicle several items were removed which had a total value of $120.00. Evidence was located on scene which will be sent the New Mexico Department of Public Safety for analysis.
