Location: 1800 block of Los Lujans Road, Espanola, NM
Victim: 46 year old female, Espanola, NM
On 7/10/13 deputies responded to above location in reference to an unresponsive female. Deputies arrived on scene and victim's uncle advised deputies that he located the victim lying on the floor. OMI arrived on scene and pronounced time of death. Victim did not show any signs of trauma. There did not appear to be any signs of foul play. Death is still under investigation.

Location: 28 Camino Justicia, Santa Fe, NM (Santa Fe County Adult Detention Ctr.)
Suspect: Maria Mejia, age 26, Velarde, NM
Charged: Bringing Contraband into a Place of Imprisonment, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Substance
On 7/10/13 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to a narcotics violation. Suspect was putting her uniform in the wash when a lighter and a plastic bag fell from her uniform. The plastic bag contained a syringe, various pills, and a small bag of a green leafy substance. The green leafy substance was field tested and was positive for marijuana. The pills were identified as suboxone and hydrocodone. Suspect was then rebooked and charged accordingly.

Locatiion: 28 Camino Justicia (Electronic Monitoring Program)
Arrested: Jose Beltran, 28-year-old male from Santa fe N.M.
On 07-10-13 at about 9:30AM Mr. Beltran was arrested at Electronic Monitoring for a probation violation. Upon his arrest he was found to have a small amount of Heroin in his possession. He was booked into the Santa Fe County Jail accordingly.

Location: Residence on East Ramada Way (Valle Vista)
On 07-10-2013 at about 6:00AM a 61-year-old female passed away in her home. She was found lying in bed unresponsive by familty members. She suffered from a long histroy of medical conditions. The Office of the Medical Investigator was called to the scene. There were no signs of foul play and she is believed to have passed away from natural causes.

Location: Ramada Way east (Turquoise Trail area)
On this date Deputies responded to the above address in reference to a death investigation. The victim (61 year old female) was found unresponsive and not breathing by a family member. CPR was conducted but was unsuccessful, there were no signs of foul play located at the scene, and death appears to be of natural causes.

Victim: Female Age: 75 Santa Fe,NM
Victim was located by a neighbor to be unresponssive and not breathing. Upon medic and Deputy arrival, victim could not be revived. OMI responded assisted with investigation. No foul play is suspected.

Arrested: Hector Rascon, 34-year-old male from Santa Fe N.M.
On 07-08-13 Mr. Rascon used a kitchen knife to threaten a family member while involved in an argument.

Location: Ramirez Thomas Elementry School
Sometime between July 3rd and July 8th someone kicked in a piece of plywood out of a window openeing causing minor damage. They entered the school and stole a 42" flat screen TV valued at $2,000.00.

Deputy responded to location in regards to an inmate who had just been booked into the facility having in his possession a controlled substance. The substance was seized and inmate was rebooked into the facility with the additional charge.
