Location:  100 block of Buffalo Street, Santa Fe, NM (Butterfly Springs MHP)

On 10/3/13 deputy responded to above location in reference to an auto burglary.  Victim stated that between 12:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. unknown persons removed the cover to his battery on his travel trailer and stole the battery.  Estimated value of the battery is $200.00.  No damage was done to the trailer.


0213015617 Death Investigation   10/03/2013

Deputy assigned: Isaiah Bryce

Commander: Cpl. Fred Suazo

Location: Monte Alto Rd (Eldorado NM area)

On this date Deputies responded to the above address in reference to a death investigation. The victim (78 year old female) was found unresponsive and not breathing by family member. CPR was conducted by paramedics, but was unsuccessful. At this time death appears to be of natural causes.

Location:  700 block of State Road 344, Edgewood, NM (Cedar Grove)

Victim:  58 year old male, Santa Fe, NM

On 10/2/13 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to an unresponsive, not breathing male.  RECC advised that the Medics were on scene performing CPR.  Upon deputy's arrival, it was learned that the victim was loading hay and then collapsed.  OMI arrived on scene and took over the scene.  There was no foul play involved.

Stolen: various electronics

Victim stated that on October 02, 2013 unknown suspects gained unlawful entry into his home. Once enrty was gained the suspects took various electronics from within the home. The victim estimated the value of the stolen items at approximately $2,500. This case remains under investigation.

Stolen: Various electronics

 Victim stated that on October 02, 2013 unknown suspects gained unlawful entry into his home. Once inside the home the suspect(s) took various electronics valued at approximately $2,800. This case ramains under invstigation.

Location:  400 block of Los Pinos Road, Santa Fe, NM (La Cienega)

On 10/2/13 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to a burglary.  Victim stated that between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. unknown persons entered his residence through a window.  Victim stated that unknown persons stole misc. jewelry in a jewelry box, misc. amount of US Currency, 3 flatscreen TVs, several bottles of wine, 30 misc. Xbox games, an Xbox game console, and an Ipod.  Estimated value of items $3,570.00.  No damage was done to the window.


Case# 0213015559 DWI (Felony)

Location:  Rio Vista Run, La Puebla, NM

Vehicle:  White, 1990, Jeep

Suspect:  Jimmy Chavez, 50, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  DWI (Felony), Driving While License Suspended or Revoked

On Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 11:37 PM the suspect was operating the vehicle and trying to recover a vehicle from a motor vehicle crash (Case# 0213015555).  The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and refused to submit to a Blood Alcohol Test.  Due to the number of prior DWI Offenses a Search Warrant was obtained and a Blood Alcohol Test was administered.  The results of that test are pending.  A check with the new Mexico Department of Motor Vehicles revealed the suspect's New Mexico Driver's License is revoked with the Arrest Clause attached.

Charged:  DWI (Felony), Carless Driving, Immediate Notice of Accident, Driving

                  While License Suspended or Revoked

On Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 8:37 PM the suspect was operating the vehicle east at the location when he lost control of the vehicle allowing it to leave the roadway on right side and become partially submerged in a river.  The suspect failed to notify law enforcement of the collision.  The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and refused to submit to a Blood Alcohol Test.  Due to the number of prior DWI Offenses a Search Warrant was obtained and a Blood Alcohol Test was administered.  The results of that test are pending.  A check with the New Mexico Department of Motor Vehicle revealed the suspect's New Mexico Driver's License is revoked with the Arrest Clause attached.

Arrested: Victor Mondragon 41yoa male, Espanola, NM

Charges: Concealing Identity

Deputies responded to the above location in reference to a vehicle stuck in the river bed and the driver possibly intoxicated.  The above was at the location assisting in retrieving the partially submerged vehicle from the river bed.  The above identified himself as someone else, which later admitted to concealing his identity providind his true identity.  He was arrested and booked accordingly without further incident.
