Victim reported that the listed suspect was operating a bicycle while he was intoxicated and was yelling profanities. Victim stated he confronted the suspect to tell him to stop and the suspect then punched the victim. Suspect was arrested without incident and taken to jail.

Items stolen: Misc. electronics to include video cameras, a lap top computer, 46" flat screen TV and misc. jewelry.  Total value of $5,750.00

    On 05-27-2012 between the hours of 8:00PM and 11:00PM unknown suspect(s) entered the victim's apartment by breaking out the glass of a rear sliding glass door and stole the above mentioned property.

Arrested: Sheila Martinez, 45-year-old female from Santa Fe N.M.

    On 05-26-2012 at about 11:30PM Mrs. Martinez's 2006 Toyota car was observed parked on the outside shoulder of I-25 with its hazard lights on.  Upon conducting a welefare check on the driver, she was found to be intoxicated.  She was placed under arrest and booked into the Santa Fe County Jail accordingly.

Arrested: Jose Medina, 20-year-old male from Santa Fe N.M.

    On 05-26-2012 Jail staff was conducting a search on inmate Jose Medina.  During the search Jose confessed to having a baloon filled with drugs concealed in his anal cavity.  He removed the baloon and turned it over to Jail staff who in turn called the Sheriff's Office.  Further investigation revealed the baloon contained heroin.  He was booked on the above charge.

Location:  SR 599 West Frontage Road & Camino Fidel, Santa Fe, NM

Suspect:  Christofer Lopez, age 24, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Concealing ID, Reckless Driving, Immediate Notice of Accident

Vehicle was involved in rollover crash at above intersection. Suspect was seen by 4 witnesses leaving the area. Suspect was the only one in the vehicle. Plate to vehicle was ran through N.C.I.C. and the registered owner showed an address in the City.   Santa Fe PD went to check to see if driver was there and confirmed suspect was there. Suspect had injuries consistent with those from the crash. Suspect had redness and lacerations on his left shoulder consistent of a seat belt burn. Suspect provided a name other than his. Suspect showed signs of being intoxicated. Suspect said he had not been drinking. Suspect's father answered questions for him.  Suspect had an identification card on him identifying him as the above suspect. Suspect's mother confirmed his correct name.  Suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center. 


Case#:  0212007962/ Criminal Damage to Property/ Date:  5/26/12

Location:  residence off of Lumbre del Sol, Espanola, NM (Arroyo Seco)

On 5/26/12 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to a criminal damage to property.  Victim stated that an acquaintance of his who is the suspect showed up at his residence and became upset because victim would not help him out.  Victim stated that suspect threw large rocks at victim's vehicle causing damage to the rear window and various dents on the vehicle.  Estimated damage amount is $1200.00. 


Case#:  0212007866/ Fraud, Computer Access with intent to defraud/ Date:  05/25/12

Location:  31 Camino Sudeste, Santa Fe, NM (Seaton Village)

Suspect:  Alex Schenk-Lessard, age 18, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Fraud, Computer Access with intent to defraud

On 5/25/12 deputy was dispatched to above address in reference to a fraud.  Victim stated that she had gone online to pay her bills and while looking at her bank statement she noticed that several unauthorized transfers were made.  Victim stated that she contacted her bank which they advised her that her son had access to her account.  It was learned that her son, Alex transferred over $1800.00 from her account to his account.  Suspect admitted to transferring the funds.  Suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.


Case#0212007940 / Motor Vehicle Crash (Fatality) / 05-26-2012

Location: US Highway 84/285 Northbound at mile post 170

Deceased: Mark Martinez, 41-year-old male from Espanola N.M.

    On 05-26-2012 at about 9:46AM Mr. Martinez was operating his 1991 Hardley Davidson motorcycle Northbound on US 84/285 around mile post 170, when for reasons unknown he lost control and crashed.  He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.  He died on scene due to injuries sustained during the crash.  Alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
