On 2/23/12 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to a burglary.  Victim stated that unknown suspects entered her residence between 0900 and 1700 hours.  Victim stated that she located her livingroom door wide open and noticed items missing from within.  Victim stated that suspects took a Vizio 48" TV, a Playstation 3, a Marlin 22 Rifle, Kindle Fire, a laptop, 2 Ipods, a Sony 48" TV, stereo speakers, $10.00 in change, misc power tools, a tool box with misc. hand tools, and a chain saw.  Estimated value of items taken is $8160.00.  Estimated damage amount is 40.00 to the livingroom door.

On 2/23/12 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to an attempted auto burglary.  Victim stated that between 1130 and 1200 hours on today's date unknown persons entered her vehicle.  Victim stated that the vehicle was unlocked and that unknown suspects rummaged through her center console and threw the items inside her vehicle.  Victim stated that nothing was taken.

Charged:  Bench warrant out of Santa Fe Magistrate Court for Failure to appear

On 2/23/12 deputy was dispatched to the Santa Fe County Public Safety Complex in reference to a person wanting to turn themselves in on a warrant.  Deputy then made contact with the suspect who stated that she had a warrant for her arrest.  RECC advised that they had the warrrant in hand.  Deputy placed suspect under arrest, transported and booked her into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center on a warrant out of Santa Fe Magistrate Court for Failure to Appear.

Location:  residence off of Old Road South, Lamy, NM (off of SR 285)

On 2/23/12 victim reported that a check of his was taken by his stepson from his residence.  Suspect then wrote out a check to himself and forged the victim's signature.  The check was then cashed at Bank of America by another person for the amount of $215.00.  The other person has an account at Bank of America.

Location:  residence off of Olsen Avenue, Edgewood, NM

On 2/23/12 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to a larceny and criminal damage to property.  Complainant stated that he was advised by EMW Gas Co. that they had shut off the gas at a residence off of Olsen Avenue on 7/26/11 and noticed that someone was using gas at the residence when a meter check was conducted.  Complainant stated that someone had cut the lock and valve to the gas metere to turn on the natural gas.  Complainant stated that the residents stole $280.00 worth of gas.  Estimated damage amount is $32.00 to the lock and valve.

Suspect:  Regina Baca, age 21, San Juan Pueblo, NM

Charged:  Possession of a Controlled Substance to wit: Cocaine, Bringing Contraband into a place of Imprisonment

On 2/23/12 deputy was dispatched to the above location in reference to a narcotics violation.  The above suspect was found to have possessed a white powdery substance which was field tested and tested positive for cocaine.  The white powdery substance was located in the single housing unit which was only occupied by the suspect.  Suspect was rebooked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

Damaged: Water Well and Tank

On the above date and time responsible party reported some vandalism to the water well and tank. Victim is unsure when the vandalism occurred. The suspect(s) leap over the wire fence surrounding the well. The suspect(s) spray painted on the tank, damaged a plastic piece of electrical conduit, and damaged a padlock. The suspect(s) caused approximately $1,000.00 in damages.


0212002806   Unlawful taking of a Motor Vehicle     02/23/2012

Location: 3900 block of Agua Fria

Stolen: White in color 1998 Volkswagen Jetta

The above motor vehicle was stolen sometime between February 22, 2012 9:00pm and February 23, 2012 7:56 am from the above location. The victim advised that he left the key to the ignition on the floor board in the vehicle. The victim also advised that the vehicle was not secured. Registered owner signed a stolen vehicle affidavit and the vehicle was entered into NCIC.
