On 4/9/12 victim stated that during the month of March suspect stole and used her Del Norte debit card totaling between 1,300.00 and 2,000.00. Suspect was located and admitted to taking and using the debit card. Suspect was arrested and found to have a bench warrant out of Santa Fe Magistrate Court for failure to pay fines. Suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

Suspect #2: Tony R. Lovato, age 23, Santa Fe, NM
Suspect #3: Rita Romero, age 20, Santa Fe, NM
Charged: Burglary, Larceny, Conspiracy, Abandonment or abuse of a child
On 4/9/12 deputy was dispatched to a burglary in progress at the above location. While enroute to the call deputy was advised that the suspects fled the area. Witnesses advised they observed the vehicle drive into the neighbors yard and a male and female exited the vehicle. The suspects then entered the residence and took a laptop computer, diamond wedding set, diamond bracelet, diamond necklace and $150.00 in change. The suspects were later located and admitted to entering the residence. The suspects had 2 small children inside the vehicle. Suspects were arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center. Estimated value of the items taken is $8,150.00. There was no damage to the residence.

Location: Diablo Canyon Trailhead, Santa Fe, NM
On 4/9/12 deputy was dispatched to 35 Camino Justicia to meet with the victim of a burglary which occurred at the above location. Victim stated that on 4/8/12 between the hours of 1500 and 1600 he left his vehicle parked at the Diablo Canyon Trailhead while he and his wife went for a hike. Victim stated when they returned they noticed a radar detector with the mounting hardware and power supply was taken. Victim stated that his wedding ring and his wife's wedding ring and engagement ring was also taken. Victim stated that they noticed the truck was unlocked when they returned. Estimated value of items taken is $3,250.00. There was no damage to the vehicle.

Victim reported that sometime between October 15, 2011 to April 1, 2012 he visited his property and noticed that a single storage shed on the property was burglarized. The unknown suspect(s) damaged the padlock securing the double doors and then stole the above items.
The above listed items stolen were valued at about $40.00

On this date Deputies responded to the above address in reference to an unattended death. The victim a (63 year old female) who was located unresponsive. This case is a death investigation, which is on going. No fowl play is expected in this incident.

Arrested: John Herrera-Baca, 20-year-old male from Santa Fe N.M.
On 04-08-2012 at about 9:13p.m. contact was made with a white in color Mitsubishi Lancer parked on the shoulder of the road at the above location. The vehicle appeared to have been involved in a crash. The driver, John Herrera-Baca was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Jail.

Items stolen: purse containing credit cards and other misc items valued at $620.00
On 04-07-12 between the hours of 11:00a.m. and 6:00p.m. someone broke the window of the victims vehicle and stole the victims purse from within while the vehicle was parked at the above location. The victim's credit cards were fraudulently used to make purchases after the burglary.

Victim reported on today's date between 11:00 am and 12:30 pm unknown person(s) gained unathorized entry into the vehicle. Forced entry was made by breaking the driver's side window and the above items were stolen.
This case is currently under investigation by the santa Fe County Sheriff's Office.
