Victim reported that she lost her wallet sometime between 8:00 and 8:30am on 8-29-12. She later received a phone call from her credit card company that it had been used several times in the Espanola NM area for a total amount of $438.00. Other credit cards were reported missing but had not been reported with fraudulent activity. Case is still under investigation.

Suspect: Jim Gumpolen 61 yoa male, Santa Fe, NM
Deputy observed a Green in color Toyota 4 door speeding in the above location. Traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and the above suspect was observed driving the vehicle. Driver was found to be suspended/revoked with an arrest clause of 1-22G. Vehicle was also seized under the County Ordinance 2006-5. Driver was arrested and booked on the above charges.

Victim reported that sometime between 8-21-12 and 8-29-12 unknown person(s) gained unauthorized entry to his residence by prying open his front door. Once inside the suspects stole the above stated items. Case is still under investigation.

Victim reports in April of this year a family member who was visiting took possession of a debit card and two charges were made for a total of Approx $950.00. Case is under investigation.

On 8/27/12 deputy responded to above location in reference to a burglary. Victim stated that sometime between 1000 and 1920 hours an unidentified supect entered his residence through an unlocked window and stole the items from within. Victim stated that the suspects took 3 42" TVs, a laptop computer, a Blackberry cell phone, an LG cell phone, a bluray player, and a silver I-pod. Estimated value of items taken is $3350.00.

On 8/27/12 deputy was dispatched to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center in reference to a battery. Both victim and suspect were incarcerated at the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center. Suspect told victim not to use up her phone card. Suspect then walked up to victim and hit her with an open hand on the right side of her face. Victim had redness to the right side of her face and her glasses were bent. Suspect was charged and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.
