Suspect: Lorann E. Romero, age 50, Santa Fe, NM
Charged: Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Tampering with Evidence
On 4/23/12 deputies responded to above location in reference to an Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Victims stated that they were at the above address to terminate electrical service due to non payment. Victims stated that they were approached by the suspect, who asked what they were doing. Victims advised suspect ; they were terminating the service in which the suspect stated, "No your not." Suspect then proceeded over to a pop up trailer and obtained a weapon. Victims stated that the suspect returned with a small caliber handgun and pointed it at them. A firearm was located after the suspect stated that she did not have one. Suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

Victim reported that sometime between 7:00 am and 4:45 pm on today's date, unknown persons gained unauthorized access into the victim’s house and took the above items. There were signs of forced entry to the residence. This incident is currently under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.

On 4/23/12 deputy responded to above location in reference to an identity theft. Victim stated that while he was trying to take out a loan, he learned that an unknown suspect had used his personal identification to open an account with Comcast. Suspects accrued an account balance of $693.00.

On Sunday, April 22, 2012 at 3:59 PM, the suspect was operating Vehicle #1 east at the location attempting to negotiate a right curve. The suspect lost control of Vehicle #1 allowing it to cross left of the center divide line at which time the left side of Vehicle #1 struck the left side of Vehicle #2 which was traveling west at the location. The suspect was airlifted to Christus Saint Vincent Regional Medical Center where he was admitted for treatment of non life threatening injuries. Driver #2 and passengeres were transported to the Los Alamos Medical Center where they were treated and released for minor injuries. The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and submitted to a Blood Alcohol Test. Results of the Blood Alcohol Test are pending at this time. A check with the new Mexico Department of Motor Vehicles revealed that the suspect does not have a motorcycle endorsement. The suspect was also found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and a smoking device containing suspected burnt marijuana residue.

Victim reported that at approximately 9:00pm on 4/21/12 unknown person(s) damaged the arm of the security gate into the Tierra Encantada subdivision.
The damage to the gate was estimated to be over $1000.00
