Location:  State Road 475, Santa Fe, NM (Chamisa Trail Head)

On 10/9/11 deputies responded to victim's residence in reference to an auto burglary.  Victim stated that she parked her vehicle at the Chamisa Trail head parking lot at about 1000 hours and returned at 1030 hours to find her vehicle broken into.  Victim stated that she noticed that the drivers side rear window was broken.  Victim stated unknown persons took a fanny pack containing misc. item, misc. clothing, misc. cosmetics, and prescribed medication.  Estimated value of items taken is $141.00.  Estimated damage amount is $200.00.


0211015103/ DWI, Driving while license is suspended-revoked, Roadways laned for traffic/ Date:  10/7/11

Location:  Rufina/ Calle Atajo, Santa Fe, NM

Suspect:  Frank Salazar, age 45, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  DWI, Driving on a suspended/revoked Driver's license, Roadways laned for traffic

On 10/7/11 Lt. Linda Ortiz observed a blue in color Ford Aerostar Van travelling northbound on Lopez Lane approaching Rufina.  The vehicle could not maintain its lane of travel and jumped the curb twice.  A traffic stop was conducted at Rufina and Calle Atajo.  Contact was made with the suspect who had an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath.  Suspect admitted to drinking 2 miniatures of Yukon.  Deputy Roy Arndt and Dep. Leonard Martinez arrived on scene to have SFST's administered.  Suspect could not maintain his balance and SFST's were not given due to suspects safety.  Suspect was arrested and read the NM Implied Consent.  Suspect submitted to a breath test in which his Brac were .20, .21.  Suspect was then transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.


Case#:  0211015140/ DWI, Roadways laned for traffic/ Date:  10/8/11

Location:  US 84/285 mm 168, Santa Fe, NM

Suspect:  Maria Estrada, age 34, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  DWI, Roadways laned for traffic

On 10/8/11 Cpl. Gonzales observed a white in color Ford vehicle travelling northbound on US84-285 near mm 168. Vehicle was swerving in its lane of travel.  A traffic stop was conducted and driver appeared to be under the influence.  Deputy Leonard Martinez arrived on scene and administered SFST's.  Suspect showed signs of impairment.  Suspect was arrested and read the NM Implied Consent in which she agreed to be tested.  Her BrAC results revealed a .09, .07.  Suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

 


Case#:  0211015124/ Burglary, Larceny, Unlawful taking of a motor vehicle/ Date:  10/8/11

Location:  residence off of State Road 503, Santa Fe, NM (Pojoaque)

On 10/8/11 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to a burglary.  Contact was made with the caretaker of the property.  Complainant stated that between 1730 hours on 10/7/11 and 1400 hours this date unknown persons cut the wire rope to the gate of the property and gained entry to the residence from a window that was already broken.  Once inside suspects took a Toshiba desktop computer.  Suspect also took a Stihl lawn mower from the front yard and also a white in color Ford van.  Estimated value of items taken is $10,250.00.  Estimated damage amount is $20.00.  Owner of the property is out of the state.

Location:  2900 block of Durango Drive, Santa Fe, NM

On 10/8/11 complainant reported that her 12 year old grandson was battered by his father.  Complainant advised that victim's father grabbed victim by the back of the neck and threw him onto the couch.  Victim's father does not have custody and was angry when the child hid behind the couch because he did not want to attend a function with him.  Victim was not injured.  Case still under investigation.

Location:  1300 block of Nelson Loop, Santa Fe, NM (off of West Alameda)

Suspect:  15 year old male, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Aggravated assault on a household member, Battery on a household member, Criminal Damage to Property

On 10/7/11 victim was involved in an altercation  with the suspect.  During the altercation suspect pushed, choked, and kicked the victim.  Suspect also threatened to kill the victim with a hand wood saw.  Suspect also damaged the victim's cell phone.   The on call JPO authorized incarceration.  Suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe Juvenile Detention Center.  Estimated damage amount is $50.00.

Location:  residence off of Camino Espejo, Santa Fe, NM (Pinon Hills Subdivision)

On 10/7/11 deputies were dispatched to above location in reference to a burglary.  Victim stated that she left the residence at around 0825 and returned at 1100 hours.  Victim stated that when she returned she found the front door open in which she locked it when she left.  Victim stated that suspects entered several bedrooms and removed items from the dresser drawers.  Victim stated that gold cuff links, a Cartier ring, 3 wrist watches, a HP laptop, and a 32" flatscreen TV were taken.  There were no signs of forced entry.  Estimated value of items taken is $3130.00.

Location:  2300 block of Casa Rufina, Santa Fe, NM (Casa Rufina Apts.)

On 10/7/11 deputy received an email from complainant.  Complainant advised that her father had passed away on 9/24/11 at the above location.  Complainant stated that a neighbor contacted her and advised her she had seen a male and a female enter her father's residence via the back sliding door and took 16 guitars.  Complainant advised that the suspects loaded the items into a white in color vehicle.  It is unknown how entry was gained into the residence.  Estimated value of items taken is $4119.50.

On 10/7/11 victim reported that he invited a female over to his residence to hang out.  Victim stated the female fell asleep at his residence.  Victim stated that he left his residence at 0830 hours and the female was asleep.  Victim stated he returned at 1130 hours and that the female had left and took some of his belongings with her.  Victim stated the female took about $200.00 in quarters, 50 DVD's and various Herbalife dietary supplements,  Estimated value of items taken is $1113.50.

On this date entry was gained through the front window causing damage.  Once inside the suspect(s) took the above items and fled the scene.Case is under investigation.
