 The listed driver was stopped for a traffic violation. During contact the driver was found to be impaired and was arrested after field sobriety tests were administered. Driver was booked into jail accordingly.

Location: Airport Rd at Constellation Drive () Santa Fe NM

Arrested: Emilio Moreno-Sosa age 42, Santa Fe NM

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the above suspect driver after he was unable to maintain he lane of travel. Upon contact with the driver several signs of impairment were seen. Driver was given standard field sobriety test in which he displayed several signs of impairment. The Driver was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center for DWI without incident.

Victim reported noticing the front door partially opened when they arrived home and discovered suspect had gained entry by forcefully prying the door open.  Once inside suspect stole a black in color safe, a 32 inch Vizio flat screen, various pieces of jewelry, and cash.  Case is under investigation.

Location:  4600 Block, Airport Road

On 1-17-2011  at 1:18 AM there was an activated alarm at the location.  Upon arrival at the location it was determined that an unknown suspect had gained entry to two bussinesses by forcing open the front doors.  Once entry was gained nothing appearred to have been taken even though some drawers had been gone through.

Suspect:  Carlos Martinez, 62, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  DWI, Aggravated Battery Against a Household Member

On 1-16-2011 at 11:02 PM the suspect and victim were involved in a verbal altercation at a residence at the location.  The altercation turned physical when the suspect struck the victim several times in the facial area with a closed fist.  The victim declined medical attention for her injuries.  The suspect was attempting to leave the location in the vehicle upon the arrival of deputies.  The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and had a Breath Alcohol Content of .08 or greater.


CASE 0211000750 / BURGLARY, LARCENY AND CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY / 01-16-2011

LOCATION:  DALE TRAIL HEAD PARKING LOT AREA, SANTA FE AREA

ITEMS STOLEN:  DESIGNER PURSE, COSMETICS AND FIVE CREIDT CARDS, VALUED AT $250.00

ON  THIS DATE VICTIM CALLED TO REPORT THAT  SOMEONE HAD BROKEN INTO HER VEHICLE, WHICH  WAS PARKED AT THE DALE  TRAIL PARKING LOT AND REMOVED HER PURSE.  VICTIM REPORTED THAT HER COSMETICS AND WALLET CONTAINING FIVE CREDIT CARDS WERE INSIDE OF HER PURSE.  SUSPECTS HAD BROKEN OUT HER REAR PASSENGER WINDOW TO GET INTO VEHICLE.  CASE IS PENDING AND UNDER INVESTIGATION AT THIS TIME.


CASE 0211000747/ ARSON, CRIMINALDAMAGE TO PROPERTY / 01-16-2011

LOCATION:  100 BLOCK OF LAS LOMAS DRIVE,  SANTA FE AREA

SUSPECT:  PENDING

DAMAGE:  COYOTE FENCE ($500.00 VALUE)

ONTHIS DATE SOME UNKNOWN PERSON (S) THREW OUT A LIT CIGARETTE, WHICH CASED A FIRE IN THE  GRASS NEXT TO FENCE.  tHE FENCE THEN CAUGHT ON FIRE.  CASE IS UNDER INVESTIGATION  AT THIS TIME.


CASE: 0211000754 / BREAKING & ENTERING, CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY / 01-16-2011

DAMAGE:  DOOR, WALLS ($2,000.00)

On this date, a neighbor called in to report that  the house next door to him had an open door.  Investigation found where two males and two females entered the house by breaking in the back door.  They damaged the walls of the residence also and the estimated damage is about $2,000.00.  The reporting party observed the four suspects the  day before at the house, but did not see the open door until today.  The house is currently under forclosure at this time.  Case is still under investigation at this time.


Case#:  0211000723/ Aggravated Burglary, Larceny/ Date:  01/15/11

Location:  2700 block of Boylan Circle, Santa Fe, NM (off of Agua Fria)

On 1/15/11 deputies were dispatched to above location in reference to a burglary.  Victim stated that between 1/12/11 at 0800 hours and 1/15/11 at 1600 hours someone unlawfully entered her residence and stole a laptop computer, a cell phone, misc. jewelry and a 9mm handgun from within.    Estimated value of items taken is $7850.00.  Victim stated that she believes the unknown person had gained entry through the back door due to her finding it open.  There was no damage.
