Victim: Male            Age:66

Deputies responded to location in reference to a male who was found to be unresponssive. During the Deputies investigation it was determined that the male had an extensive medical history. The Office of the Medical Investigator was called and assisted in the case.

On 10/5/11 victim reported that on 9/28/11 she applied for a job through Craigslist internet job posting.  Victim stated she was hired by a male subject who stated that her first job was to cash a check using her bank account.  Victim stated that the suspect sent her a check for the amount of $2, 988.00 and that she was suppose to keep $600.00 out of it and wire the rest of the money to an address in Allantown, PA.  Victim learned that the check was fraudulent because her account was overdrawn.  Victim does not have any information on the suspect.

Location:  9 West Quail Run, Edgewood, NM (off of Dinkle)

Suspect:  Frank Montoya, age 48, Edgewood, NM

Charged:  Battery on a household member (2 counts)

On 10/5/11 deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a domestic disturbance.  Victim#2 stated taht suspect pushed her down to the ground because she did not get up immediately when asked to do a chore.  Victim #1 advised when she intervened the suspect punched her in the left area of the face.  Suspect admitted to striking both victims,  Suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

Location:  1000 block of Calle Nueva Vista, Santa Fe, NM (off of Rufina)

On 10-5-11, I was dispatched to the above address reference to a burglary.  Victim stated she had come home last date at five in the evening to get some clothes and then left to stay at a friends house. Upon returning today at 1630 she noticed that her bedroom had been rifled through and suspects took several prescription medication, misc. jewelry, and misc. papers.  Estimated value of items taken is $2,020.00.  Entry was gained through and unlocked back dog door.


CASE 0211014923 / BURGLARY-LARCENY / 10-04-2011

DEPUTY ASSIGNED:  DEPUTY ROY ARNDT

LOCATION:  100 BLOCK OF McKEE ROAD, GALISTEO AREA

ITEMS STOLEN OR DAMAGED:  LAPTOP, THREE JEWELRY BOXES CONTAINING COSTUME JEWELRY AND A CERAMIC BOWL WITH $20.00 IN CHARNGE, ITEMS VALUED AT $1,820.00

ON THIS DATE AT ABOVE LISTED LOCATION, VICTIM REPORTED THAT SOME TIME BETWEEN THE TIME SHE LEFT TO WORK AND RETURNED, UNKNOWN PERSONS ENTERED HER HOUSE AND REMOVED ABOVE LISTED ITEMS.  THERE WAS NO SIGNS OF FORCED ENTERY AND IT IS BELIEVED THAT SUSPECTS ENTERED THROUGH AN OPEN WINDOW.  CASE IS UNDER INVESTIGATION AT THIS POINT.

 


CASE 0211014922 / BURGLARY-LARCENY / 10-04-2011

LOCATION: 100 BLOCK OF WEST GUTIERREZ, POJOAQUE AREA

ITEMS STOLEN OR DAMAGED:  I-POD NANO, VALUED AT $180.00

The above residence was left unoccupied for only a few minutes on the above date. The suspect(s) discovered an unsecured sliding glass door to the residence. The suspect stole the above mentioned item, from on top of a computer desk located in the living room area. The suspect(s) did not disturb or take anything else from the home. Case is under investigation at this time.


Case#:0211014904/Residential Burglary, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property/Date: 10-04-2011

Stolen: Mead Telescope, and 2 Mountain Bikes Total Value $1,800.00

Suspect: Pending

On October 4, 2011 deputies responded to the above location in reference to residential burglary.  Sometime between October 3, 2011 at 0810 hours and October 4, 2011 at 1430 hours suspect(s)s gained unlawful forced entry by kicking in several doors entering the residence.  Once inside suspect(s) took the above items.  Total value of damage was estimated at $350.00.  Case still under investigation.

Location:  residence off of Rancho Sin Vacas, Santa Fe, NM (La Cienega)

On 10/4/11 victim stated he lent his 2000 Chevrolet Malibu gold in color to an employee who worked for him back in June.  Victim stated he recently contacted the suspect and asked him to return his vehicle on several occasions.  Victim stated the suspect has agreed to return the vehicle but never shows up.  Victim stated that now he is unable to get ahold of the suspect.  Vehicle was entered into NCIC.  Estimated value of the vehicle is $1000.00.

Location:  6300 block of Calle Vencejo, Santa Fe, NM (off of Airport Road)

On 10/4/11 victim reported that between 0600 and 1930 hours suspects unlawfully gained forced entry into his residence through the sliding back door.  Once inside they unlawfully removed $300.00 cash, a 42" LG TV, 20 DVD's, a 27" Sony TV, Droid tablet and a Toshiba laptop.  Estimated value of items taken is $4300.00.  Estimated damage amount is $500.00.

Location:  Ramirez Thomas Elementary School, Santa Fe, NM

On 10/4/11 victim reported that between 1130 and 1730 hours some unknown persons stole her purse which contained misc. credit cards, car keys, residence keys and a New Mexico driver's license.  Victim learned that her credit card was used at a convenience store for $1.00.  Victim was in the process of cancelling her credit cards.  Estimated value of items taken is pending.
