On 11/4/10 between 0730 and 1730 hours, victim arrived home and found her door to the residence kicked in.  Victim staqted suspects took 2 Ipods, misc. jewelry, 2 rifles, a duffle bag w/ misc items, and a DVD player.  Estimated value for items taken is $1685.00.  Estimated damage amount to the door frame is $150.00.  suspects also rummaged through the closet and damaged a drawer to a dresser; estimated damage amount is $150.00.

Suspect:  Ulises Ramirez, age 43, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Agg. Assault on a household member, Assault on a household member

On 11/4/10 suspect threatened to punch victim, then threatened to stab her with a large butcher knife.  Suspect admitted to the allegations after he was read his Miranda Warnings.  Victim stated that they were arguing about the finances and the children.  Evidence was recovered at the scene.  Suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

Location:  7900 block of Old Santa Fe Trail, Santa Fe, NM (off of Old Las Vegas Hwy)

On 11/4/10 between the hours of 1530 and 1813 victim found property to be missing from inside her residence.  Victim stated that she locked all the doors and was not able to find out where suspects may have entered.  Victim stated that suspects took a birth certificate, a title to a vehicle, a social security card, 1 box of 20 gauge shotgun shells, a sentimental 50 cent coin piece, and $40.00 cash.  Victim stated that all items were in an envelope inside a safe.  There was no damage to the property.  Estimated value of items taken is $50.50.

Charged:  Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, Selling or giving alcohol to a minor

On 11/4/10 suspect was at his residence and had consumed alcohol with other juvenile males.  Suspect had gone with a friend who was 21 years old and purchased the alcohol at a liquor establishment.  Suspect then drank the alcoholic beverages and had given the alcohol to 2 juvenile males who were 16 and 17 years of age.  Suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.  The other juvenile males were referred to the Juvenile Probation Office and released to their guardians. 


0210010041/ Unattended Death/ 11-04-10

Location: Trinity Court- Edgewood

Decedent: 56 year old male

On 11-04-10 Santa Fe County Fire responded to the above location to a male subject that was unresponsive. Upon  their arrival CPR was in progress by family members. Paramedics attempted to revive the male, but were unsuccessful. During investigation it was learned that the male had a prior medical condition. There were no signs of foul play.


021010054/ Aggravated Battery Upon a Health Care Worker/ 11-04-10

Arrested: Jessica Frye age: 29

Charges: Aggravated Battery Upon a Health Care Worker

Victim who is a registered nurse was struck by suspect while giving out medication in the medical unit of the Jail. Victim suffered a baseball bump on the left side of the temple area of her head. Victim was taken to the hospital by a co-worker. Suspect was moved to another area of the medical unit. Suspect was charged accordingly.

Victim reports home entered through upstairs window and water turned on as well as 2 dead rodents left in bathroom.  Case is under investigation

Charged:  Driving while license suspended/revoked, Equipment violation

On 11/3/10 suspect was operating a white and black in color Ford Crown Victoria which had a headlamp out.  A traffic stop was conducted with the vehicle during which time it was found that the suspect had a revoked driver's license.  Suspect was arrested, transported, and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.  Vehicle was seized.

Location:  200 block of La Puebla Road, Espanola, NM (off of Santa Fe County Road 88)

On 11/3/10 victim stated that between 0800 and 1815 hours, unknown suspects gained entry into her residence through an unlocked side door which was secured by glue in the inside.  Victim stated that once inside unknown suspects removed an electric fireplace from inside the livingroom.  Estimated value of the fireplace is $450.00.
