Victim reported that sometime between 08-01-09 and 11-01-09 some one stole a 9 prong diamond ring from her residence. At first she thought she might have misplaced it ,but since she couldn't locate it she wanted to report it stolen.

Victim reports an industrial type tamper was taken from his work truck on 3/25/10 valued at $2000.00.  Case is under investigation.

Suspect:  Juvenile Male, 16, Santa Fe

Charged:  DWI, Driver Must be Licensed

On 3-28-2010 at 1:59 AM the suspect was operating the vehicle at the location.  The suspect stopped at the location when he observed deputies present at the location investigating a disturbance.  The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and had a Breath Alcohol Content of .08 or greater.  A check with the New Mexico Department of Motor Vehicles revealed no driver's license on file for the suspect.

Victim reported that sometime between 5:00pm and 10:30 pm on 3/26/10, unknown person(s) forced open the front door to the home, and stole a 36" Samsung HD flat screen TV, and a jewelry box containg misc jewelry, both valued at $750.00 Investigation continues.

Suspect; Armando Ledesma, age 19

On 3/26/10, at approx 10:00pm, victim reported that sometime between 4:00pm and 10:00pm, this date, someunknown person(s) unlawfully gained entry to his residence, via an unlocked bedroom window. Suspect then stole a Norinco .45cal semi-auto pistol, and a Rolex wristwatch, both valued at approx $4250.00. Victim suspects an aquaintance. Investigation continues.

Subject was placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant out of Santa Fe County Magistrate Court, after being stopped for speeding violation. subject was transported to the Adult Detention Center


0210002414 Trafficking A Controlled Substance,DWI

Location: State Road 14 Milepost 45

Arrested: Jeremy Smith 21 Santa Fe NM

Chargees: Trafficking a Controlled Substance,DWI, Roadways Laned for traffic, & Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, No Insurance.

Driver was observed traveling southbound on State Road 14 in a chevrolet Cavalier failing to maintain his lane of travel and traveling 20mph below the posted speed limit. Upon contact with driver the odoer of burnt marijuana was detected. The suspect was found in possession of Marijuana, digital scales as well as psilocybin mushrooms and other drug paraphernalia, encluding several glass smoking devices.

The above victim reported that her home was unlawfully entered and the above truck was removed. The victim stated that a note was left by the suspect. This case is still under investigation.

Deputies responded to a medical call with regard to an unresposive male adult not breathing.  Medics were unable to revive the male.  It appears he had suffered complications due to an illness. No Foul Play suspected.
