On 1-24-2010, between 3:30 PM and 9:20 PM person(s) unknown untered a residence at the location through an unlocked door.  Once entry was gained,      person(s) unknown removed a HP Laptop Computer, Broad Band Card, Mouse and a carry case valed at more than $1,200.00.

Vehicle:  2006, white, Suzuki SUV

Suspect:  Shannon Ortiz, 23, Pojoaque, NM

Charged:  Driving While License Suspended or Revoked

On 1-24-2010 the suspect was operating the vehicle at the location and crossed left of the center divide line twice.  A check with the New Mexico Department of Motor Vehicles revealed that the suspect's New Mexico driver's license is revoked with the arrest clause attached.  The reason for the revocation was for a prior DWI, therefore the vehicle was seized.

Value: $140.00

On 01-24-2010 the victim saw the suspect climbing over her fence, carrying the above items. The victim's powere drill was located at the suspect(s) residence along with an additional power drill. The suspect was identified and charges are pending.

Location: Santa Fe National Forest Norski Trailhead

On 01-24-2010 Deputies were dispatched to a male, who was found to be deceased at the above location. The decedent had been cross country skiing. After returning to the parking area, the decedent collapsed. Santa Fe Med 1 arrived on scene and could not revive the victim. No foul play is expected in the incident.

On 01-24-2010 the victim reported that between 01-22-2010 at 1:00pm and 01-24-2010 at 2:30pm, unknown suspect(s) broke the glass to his front door. The suspect(s) were able to gain entry into the residence. However, there did not appear to be any items missing at this time. The suspect(s) also kicked open the back door to the residence causing damage to the door. Suspect information is pending.

Charges:  D.W.I., Speeding, No Insurance

Above individual was stopped for speeding after he was observed traveling at 80 mph in a posted 65 mph zone. Upon making contact with the individual, displayed signs of impairment. The individual was placed under arrest for D.W.I. The individual was also unable to provide proof of insurance. The individual did submit to chemical testing with results of .10/ .10 BrAC. Suspect was transported to the Santa Fe County Jail and  booked accordingly.

Location: Cypress Street- Cottonwood Mobile Home Park

Stolen: Black Purse containing victims driver's license, credit cards, checks, and cash

Value: $1,800.00

On 01-23-2010 the victim reported that her purse was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked at the above location. The incident occurred between 4:30pm and 6:00pm on the 23rd. There was no sign of forced entry into the vehicle. The victims purse was found in a trash can at the Riverside Mobile Home Park by the mailboxes. The above items were removed from the purse. Suspect information is pending at this time.

Location: Camino Tierra Real

Deputies responded to the above location regarding a fight in progress. Preliminary investigation showed several individuals went to the residence and started an altercation with the occupants. The suspect(s) used baseball bats and knives in the altercation and one of the occupants of the residence was stabbed multiple times in the upper torso and arms. Other occupants sustained injuries from the baseball bats. At the time of the preliminary investigation, six suspects were named. The Santa Fe County Criminal Investigation Division was sent to the scene and they assumed the investigation and the search for the suspects.
