Stolen from inside the vehicle was a brown leather binder, a GPS, scanner, and XM radio. Estimated value of the items taken is $3,450. No suspect or witness information is available.

Sometime between 8:00 a.m. on July 7, 2010 and 8:00 p.m. on July 8, 2010 an unknown person entered into an unsecured shed on the above property and stole a 16 " Steele Farmboss chainsaw valued at $400.00. No suspect or witnesses information is available at this time.

Arrested: John Paul Ortega - age 47
While looking for the driver of an abandoned vehicle at the above location, Deputies came in contact with the above defendant at the residence of the vehicle's registered owner. It was found that the residence belonged to his ex-wife and he forcibly entered the residence while she was out of town. He was placed under arrest and it was also found he was in violation of his probation. He was booked into ADC accordingly.

Location: residence off of Tierra Adentro, Santa Fe, NM (Arroyo Hondo)
On 7/12/10 deputy responded to an activated alarm at the above residence. Deputy met with neighbor who stated that she received a call from victim who stated that the alarm had gone off. Neighbor stated that she checked the residence and found the front door open. Deputy checked the door and noticed that the front door had been kicked in due to the door being damaged. Upon checking the residence it appears that 3 TV's were taken from within. Estimated value of items taken is pending. Estimated damage amount is about $5000.00. A list of items taken is pending.
