Victim reports he left his 1998 Ford Mustang parked on the side of the highway after mechanical problems on the eve of 10/16/09.  When he returned this date he reports that a rifle was taken from the trrunk of the car as well as various car parts and a Rolex watch.  Case is under investigation.

On 10/16/09 deputies responded to an unattended death on Bisbee Ct.  A 27 yr old male was found deceased, apparent cause of death by suicide.  Criminal investigators arrived on scene and the Office of the Medical Investigator was summoned.  Case is under investigation.

Arrested : Jesus Compos-Perez 33 years old, Santa Fe NM

Victim reported she came home and found her boyfriend sleeping in their bedroom after a protection order was granted by Honorable 1st Judicial District Judge Raymond Ortiz. Victim ordered suspect to leave the residence. Victim stated that suspect told her he was going to come back with a gun to kill her. Suspect fled the scene on foot and was located shortly thereafter. He admitted to being asleep at the residence. Suspect was taken into custody and booked at the SF County Jail.

Victim Reported that sometime between 5:30pm 10/16/09 and 10:00am 10/17/2009 some unknown person burglarized the above business. The unknown persons unlawfully entered the business by removing a clear Plexiglas, removed the fiberglass insulation and broke through the interior dry wall, at the back of the business. Upon entering a stereo boom box was stolen valued at about $150.00.

ON THIS DATE DEPUTY OBSERVED SUSPECT DRIVING SOUTH BOUND ON LOPEZ LANE AND HE WAS NOT ABLE TO MAINTAIN HIS LANE OF THE ROADWAY.  SUSPECT WAS STOPPED AFTER HE TURNED ONTO CAMINO JOCOBO.  INVESTIGATION FOUND THAT THE DRIVER HAD BEEN DRINKING AND IN POSSESSION OF AN OPEN 16-OUNCE CAN OF BUD LIGHT BEER.  SUSPECT SHOWED SIGNS OF IMPAIRMENT ANS SUBMITTED TO SOBRIETY TESTING.  SUSPECT WAS ARRESTED AND REFUSED TO SUBMIT TO A BREATH TESTING.  SUSPECT WAS THEN TAKEN TO THE ADULT DETENTION CENTER AND BOOKED ON ABOVE LISTED CHARGES.  VEHICLE WAS IMPOUNDED.


CASE 0209009200 / BATTERY OF A HOUSEHOLD MEMBER, RESISTING AN OFFICER / 10-17-2009

CHARGES:  BATTERY OF A HOUSEHOLD MEMBER, RESISTING AN OFFICER

ON THIS DATE DEPUTYS WERE SENT TO THE IAIA SCHOOL DUE TO A FIGHT IN PROGRESS.  DEPUTYS ARRIVED AND INVESTIGATION FOUND WHERE SUSPECT HAD BATTERYED VICTIM, WHICH WAS HIS GIRLFREIND.  SUSPECT WAS INTOXICATED.  SUSPECT WAS ARRESTED AND WHEN HE WAS BEING TAKING OUT TO THE DEPUTY'S UNIT, SUSPECT TRYED TO KICK OFFICERS AND RUN AWAY.  SUSPECT WAS STOPPED AND TRANSPORTED TO THE ADULT DETENTION CENTER AND BOOKED ON ABOVE LISTED CHARGES

SUSPECT WAS STOPPED AFTER BEING OBSERVED SPEEDING 75MPH IN A POSTED 55 MPH SPEED ZONE.  SUSPECT WAS CONTACTED BY DEPUTY AND HE OBSERVED SIGNS OF IMPAIRMENT.  SUSPECT SUBMITTED TO SOBRIETY TESTING AND SHOWED SIGNS OF IMPAIRMENT AGAIN.  SUSPECT WAS ARRESTED ON THE ABOVE LISTED CHARGES AND TAKEN TO THE ADULT DETETNION CENTER AND BOOKED.  SUSPECT WAS FOUND TO HAVE A .09 BrAC AT THE TIME OF HER BREATH TESTING.  VEHICLE WAS IMPONDED.

ON THIS DATE SUSPECT WAS OBSERVED SPEEDING (100 MPH - 75 MPH SPEED ZONE) NORTH BOUND I-25, THEN EXITED I-25 ONTO CERRILLOS ROAD.  SUSPECT WAS THEN OBSERVED FAILING TO MAINTAIN HIS LANE OF THE ROADWAY.  SUSPECT WAS STOPPED AND FOUND TO HAVE BEEN DRINING.  SUSPECT WAS ARRESTED FOR AGGRAVATED DWI AND HAD A .16 BrAC AT THE TIME OF THE BREAHT TESTING.  SUSPECT WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE ADULT DETENTION CENTER AND BOOKED ON ABOVE LISTED CHARGES.  SUSPECTS VEHICLE WAS IMPOUNDED.


Case# 0209009197 Motor Vehicle Crash (Fatality)

Location:  I-25 at Exit 284 (northbound)

Pedestrian:  John Doe

Vehicle:  Black, 2004, GMC, Yukon

Driver:  Patrick Gallegos, 44, Las Vegas, NM

On 10-16-2009 at 9:11 PM Gallegos was operating the vehicle north at the location in the right lane.  For reason(s) unknown Doe entered the roadway from right to left.  Doe then reversed his direction and began walking left to right.  Gallegos initiated evassive action (steering to the right) but was unable to avoid Doe.  As a result the left front bumper of the vehicle struck the right side of Doe.  At 12:50 AM, on 10-17-2009, Doe was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Medical Investigator Fordham.  Alcohol does not appear to be a factor nor does speed.  Neith Gallegos nor his wife and daughte,r who were passengers in the vehicle, were injured as a result of this crash.  All attempts to identify Doe so far have met with negative results.


0209009203 Burglary (Commercial)

Stolen: dell laptop, office computer, Survey equipment, TV, printer, documents.

Victim reported that sometime between 6:00pm no 10/16/09 and 8:00am on this date the above property valued at about $40000.00 was stolen from the construction office. Suspects forced entry into the building by prying open the south side door.  This incident is currently under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
