An orange pill was located in the Detention Center. This pill was identified as a substance called, “ Suboxone”. This is a narcotic given to help with withdrawals from an opiate. Further investigation is pending.

Items Stolen: Household Goods & Electronics

On this date I responded to the above listed address regarding a breaking and entering which had occurred between the dates of 03/07/2009 and 03/22/2009. The above listed victim sated the unknown individual entered his residence through a rear window which was unlocked by removing the window screen and pushing in the window. Once inside the residence the individual removed numerous electronic items and several household items. Attempts to locate a suspect have proven fruitless at this time.

Location: Baja Waldo Road - Santa Fe, NM

Father reported finding his 24 year old son deceased in an abandoned structure in a remote area. Deputies responded, as well as the Criminal Investigation Division, and conducted the investigation. Preliminary findings are that it was an apparent suicide; however, the investigation is still ongoing.

LOCATION:  LOPEZ LANE / ALAMO ROAD, SANTA FE AREA

ARRESTED:  MATTHEW CORDOVA, 19 YOA MALE & DAVID ROHWER, 48 YOA MALE.

CHARGES:  POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE TO WIT:  HEROIN & COCAINE, POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED LICENSE AND SPEEDING

On this date Matthew Cordova was south bound on Lopez Lane at a high rate of speed (45 mph in a posted 25 mph speed zone).  He was stopped and was foundto have a suspended drivers license.  During investigation Matthew and his passenger, David Rohwer were both found to be in possession of cocaine and heroin.  Matthew was also found to have drug paraphernalia inside of his vehicle.  Both were taken to the Adult Detention Center on above listed charges.  The vehicle was impounded.

Deputies were dispatched to a domestic disturbance and discovered that the suspect was armed with and had threatened to hit a relative with a Frying pan.

Victim reports he had just met a male at a gas station and gave him a ride to see some sights at the above location. The male's demeanor changed when they were at the location and he took the keys to the vehicle and wouldn't give them back. The victim was afraid of how the male was acting and ran away. The male then got in the vehicle and left the area. The vehicle was entered into NCIC and the investigation is ongoing.

Location: SR 599 Frontage Road, Santa Fe, NM

Arrested: Dale Sturgeon - age 23, Santa Fe, NM (driver)

Arrested: Derek Martinez - age 20, Santa Fe, NM (passenger)

The above driver was stopped for having been parked illegaly on the roadway at the above location. During the traffic stop, the driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot. The deputy pursued him and apprehended him. He was later found to also have a warrant. The above passenger was also found to have an active arrest warrant. Both individuals were booked into ADC accordingly.

Arrested: Angelica Montoya - age 37, Santa Fe, NM

The above suspect was involved in a domestic altercation while driving on the roadway and was stopped by a SFC Deputy. The driver displayed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest for DWI. Her subsequent breath test results were .17 and .17. She was booked into ADC accordingly.

Value: $500.00

Victim reported that he took the wheel weights off of his tractor about two months ago and left them on his property near State Road 14. Victim went to pick up the items and discovered that they were missing.

 

0209002509 Unauthorized use of a Credit Card

Location: Calle Nava Santa Fe NM

Victim reported that on 3/23/09 she recieved a phone call from Best-Buy advising her that someone attemted to use her credit card number to purchase a Sony Play Station and have it shipped to Kansas. Victim advised Best-Buy and Chase Bank and her credit card charge was declined/refunded the amount of $408.15. Victim is still in posession of the credit card.
