Charges: Agg. DWI, Reckless Driving, Open Container, Driving on a Suspended or Revoked License.

Deputy was dispatched to reckless driver call on Interstate 25 heading northbound. Deputy located the vehicle and subsequently conducted a traffic stop. The driver was found to be under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs. The driver was taken into custody after he became combative. Driver was read the New Mexico Implied Consent Act, at which time he refused to submit to testing. He was booked into the Santa Fe County Jail accordingly.

CHARGES:  AGGRAVATED DWI, DRIVER TOO BE LICENSE AND PROOF OF INSURANCE

ON THIS DATE DEPUTY'S WERE SENT TO THE AREA LISTED ABOVE, DUE TO A REPORT OF A MAN PASSED OUT IN HIS VEHICLE.  DEPUTIES ARRIVED AND FOUND SUSPECT PASSED OUT INSIDE OF HIS VEHICLE.  DEPUTIES MADE CONTACT WITH SUSPECT AND FOUND HIM TO BE INTOXICATED.  INVESTIGATION SHOWED THAT SUSPECT DOES NOT HAVE A DRIVERS LICENSE, NOR INSURANCE ON MOTOR VEHICLE AT THE TIME.  SUSPECT WAS ARRESTED ON ABOVE LISTED CHARGES AND TAKEN TO THE ADULT DETENTION CENTER.

ARRESTED:  PHIL R. BENAVIDEZ, 46 YOA MALE, SANTA FE AREA

CHARGES:  DWI (3RD), OPEN CONTAINER, REGISTRATION ON DEMAND

ON THIS DATE SUSPECT WAS CALLED IN TO DRUNK BUSTER HOT LINE AS A POSSIBLE DRUNK DRIVER.  POJOAQUE POLICE AND DEPUTY LOCATED SUSPECT AND FOUND THAT HE HAD BEEN DRINKING AND HAD AN OPEN CONTAINER OF ALCOHOL INSIDE OF HIS VEHICLE.  SUSPECT WAS ARRESTED ON ABOVE LISTED CHARGES.  INVESTIGATION FOUND WHERE THIS IS SUSPECTS THIRD DWI.  SUSPECT WAS ARRESTED ON ABOVE LISTED CHARGES AND TAKEN TO THE ADULT DETENTION CENTER.  SUSPECTS VEHICLE WAS SEIZED.

ARRESTED:  GERONIMO ANDRES QUINTANA, 44 YOA MALE, GLORIETA AREA

CHARGES:  AGGRAVATED DWI (3RD), OPEN CONTAINER AND DRIVER TOO BE LUICENSE

ON THIS DATE SUSPECT WAS OBSERVED WEST BOUND ON AIRPORT ROAD UNABLE TO MAINTAIN HIS LANE OF THE ROADWAY.  SUSPECT WAS STOPPED AND FOUND TO HAVE BEEN DRINKING AND IN POSSESSION OF AN OPEN BOTTLE OF BUD LIGHT BEER.  SUSPECT WAS FOUND NOT TO HAVE A DRIVER'S LICENSE.  SUSPECT WAS FOUND TO BE INTOXICATED (.19 BrAC) AND WAS ARRESTED ON ABOVE LISTED CHARGES AND TAKEN TO THE ADULT DETENTION CENTER.  SUSPECTS VEHICLE WAS SEIZED.


0209006843 Burglary (auto) / Criminal Damage

Items damaged: Vehicle Tires, Car Stereos. Value over $1000.00

Sometime between 12:00am and 6:00am on 8/1/09 a group of unknown juveniles broke into and/or slashed the tires of 16 different vehicles within the Cottonwood Village Mobile Home Park. All the incidents happened in the common/parking area within the park. The tires were punctured with a sharp object, 4 cars were broken into. This incident is currently under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.


0209006822 DWI/Neglegent use of a Firearm 07-31-09

Arrested: Marcellus Davis 37yoa

On the above date, the above officer conducted a welfare check on the defendant who was parked on the shoulder at the above location.  Upon attempting to awake the defendant, he was unresponsive.  After several attempts, he finally awoke.  Officer detected that the defendant was impaired.  Defednant failed field test and was arrested.  The defendant had .13 and .14 BrAC and was transported and booked at the adult detention center.

Suspect:  Joshua J. Herrera, age 25, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Driving on a suspended/revoked driver's license

On 7/30/09 suspect was observed operating the vehicle on US285 near CR 33.  Contact was made with the suspect during which time it was found that the suspect currently possessed an operator's license which was revoked.  Suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

Location:  residence off of Aventura Road, Santa Fe, NM (Eldorado)

Victim reported that a Dell laptop computer was taken after Fedex delivered the item to the front porch at around 1300 hours.  Victim contacted Fedex and found computer was delivered however when she arrived home package was missing.  Neighbor confirmed that package was delivered.  Estimated value of items taken is $1000.00.

On the above date the victim called our agency to report that her ex-daughter in-law had stole her vehicle and was refusing to return it. According to the victim the ex-daughter in-law wants $1,000.00 then she will return the vehicle.
