Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed the suspect purchased a bottle of vodka then drove until he crashed into a median. Suspect showed signs of impairment, and refused to submit to SFST's or a breath test. Suspect was transported and booked accordingly.

Arrested: Joseph Romero (50 YOM)
Deputy performed a license plate inquiry while vehicle was in motion. Registered owner was identified and found to have a revoked license with the arrest clause. Deputy conducted a traffic stop and confirmed the registered owner was indeed operating the vehicle. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

Deputies were dispatched to a male who collapsed and stopped breathing. Santa Fe County Fire and EMS arrived and despite their best efforts, could not revive the victim. The victim suffered from Congestive Heart Failure, among other medical conditions. Foul play is not suspected. OMI and staff with Rivera's Funeral Home later arrived and recovered the body.

On Wednesday January 3, 2024 between approximately 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm, two unknown suspects entered the victim’s residence, tied him up, and placed a blanket over his head. The suspects then stole items from his residence which included a .308 Savage Arms rifle. The victim was found today (January 4, 2024) by his neighbor who then contacted the Sheriff's Office. The victim was evaluated by ambulance personnel for non-life-threatening injuries.

Subject was arrested at the above location on active warrants for residential burglary, receiving stolen property, receiving and transferring a stolen vehicle, and an arrest order from Probation and Parole. Subject was transported and booked into Santa Fe ADC.

Deputy Boling conducted a traffic on a vehicle at the above intersection. Upon contact with the driver, Mr. Powers, it was discovered that there was a warrant for his arrest. The warrant is for failing to appear on original charges of Battery, Criminal Damage to Property, Resisting/Evading or Obstructing an Officer. Mr. Powers was arrested without incident and transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center for incarceration.

Deputies were dispatched to a person found not conscious and not breathing. Upon arrival, personnel with Santa Fe County Fire/Ambulance began life saving procedures. Despite their best effort however, the victim could not be revived. Foul play is not suspected. Next of Kin was notified.

Deputies repsonded to the location in reference to a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian. Deputies learned the victim was parked on the shoulder of the roadway and exited her vehicle for an unknown reason. The victim was struck by an unidentified vehicle and was later pronounced deceased.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop at the above location. Deputies made contact with the driver who was identified as the above subject. During a NM MVD record inquiry, it was learend the above subjects drivers license is revoked due to a past DWI. The above subject was arrested, transported, and booked accordingly without incident.

Deputies were dispatched in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle. Upon arrival deputies learned the victim attended a party and left her vehicle parked at a residence. Sometime between 12:30am and 07:00am on January 1, 2023, unknown suspect(s) unlawfully entered the victim's vehicle and stole the above items. The victim is unclear as to the exact address of the residence.
