Deputies responded to a motor vehicle collision. While investigating the collision, it was discovered the two juveniles involved were in a stolen motor vehicle Both juveniles were also listed as runaways.

Deputy stopped out with a vehicle that lost control and struck a guardrail. Driver agreed to SFST's and shoed signs of impairment. Driver was arrested and agreed to chemical testing. Results were 0.18g/210L-0.17g/210L. Subject booked into SF ADC with out incident.
Case #2023007434 Unattended Death

Deceased: 36 YOA male, Santa Fe
Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to a possible overdose. Upon arrival, the male was not conscious and not breathing. Deputies were advised the male had taken narcotics. CPR and narcan were administered, but unsuccessful. The Office of the Medical Investigator (OMI) was contacted, and responded to the scene. OMI and deputies observed no signs of foul play.

Deputies responded to the location to assist Pojoaque Police on a traffic stop. Deputies observed signs of impairment on the driver. The driver was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.
Case #2023007431 Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon

Arrested: Dewayne Anstey, 36 YOA male, Santa Fe
Deputies responded to the location in reference to a weapons infraction. Deputies learned that the suspect threatened individuals at the location with a firearm while intoxicated. The subject was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.
Case#2023007419, Burglary and Larceny, 12-23-2023

Location: Crow View Place, Santa Fe, NM
Stolen: Purse, Credit Cards, Passport, Drivers License, and Check Book. (Total Value $500)
Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival deputies learned that an unknown suspect(s) unlawfully entered the victims vehicle and took the above items. The victim was able to cancel her credit cards before suspects were able to use them.
Case #2023007417 / AGG DUI, Negligent use of a Deadly Weapon - 12/23/2023

Arrested: Joshua Leyba-Trujillo (23 YO)
Deputies were dispatched to the intersection due to a vehicle being parked in the intersection blocking traffic. Suspect had several firearms inside of the vehicle, and while making contact had an odor of an alcoholic beverage. Suspect admitted to drinking, and showed signs of impairment during SFST's. Suspect had a BRAC of 0.21/0.23 and was charged accordingly.

Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a tow truck traveling 81 MPH in a 55 MPH zone. Driver had an odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath, submitted to SFST's, and signs of impariment were observed. Driver refused a breath test, and was booked accordingly.

Subject was located at his residence and arrested on an active warrant for failure to pay fines. the original charge was for possession of a controlled substance. Subject was booked into Santa Fe ADC.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence in reference to the theft of a motor vehicle. Upon investigation, it was discovered that an unknown person(s) forcibly entered a garage and stole the victim's SUV. The theft occurred sometime last night, into early this morning. The vehicle is identified as a white, 2002, Toyota Rav4. There is no suspect information at this time.
