Deputies were dispatched to a report of Burgalry. Upon investigation, an unknown person(s) entered the home (still under construction) and stole two toilets. The incident occurred sometime between 2/23/24 and 2/26/24. At this time, there is no suspect information

Arrestee: Gabriel Miera 22YOM

Deputy Dillinger conducted a traffic stop where contact was made with the driver, Gabriel Miera. Upon checking Mr. Miera's driver's license status, it was discovered he had a valid warrant for his arrest. Mr. Miera was arrested without incident. The warrant was for failing to appear on original charge of Driver to be Licensed. 


Case#2024001030/Unlawful Taking of Motor Vehicle/2-26-24

Deputies were dispatched to a report of a stolen vehicle. Upon investigation, an unknown person(s) stole the Victim's trailer. The incident took place sometime 11:00pm lastnight and 9:30am this date. There is no suspect information at this time. 


2024001028 / Warrant Arrest / 2/26/2024

Location: Rufina Street / Siler Road   Santa Fe, NM

Arrested:  Roberto Mercado    Age: 35    Rio Rancho, NM

A Deputy initiated a traffic stop with the listed person after observing a traffic violation. Upon contacting the driver, he was found to have an active arrest warrant. The listed driver was arrested without incident.

Arrested: Brian Piotrowski     Age: 55    Santa Fe, NM

Deputies initiated a traffic stop with the listed person believing the driver may have been involved in an incident investigated by another agency. Upon contacting the driver, he was found to be impaired. Sobriety Testing was administered where the driver showed signs of intoxication. Driver was arrested with chemical testing resulting with a .25, .25 BrAc

Deputies responded to location reference an auto burglary. Upon arriving, deputies determined the suspects forced entry into the vehicle and stole a purse contaiing valuables. Case under investigation.

Victim: CDM Smith Company.

Deputies were dispatched to a report of Burglary. Upon investigation, an unknown person(s) entered the site and stole various construction equipment. The value of the items stolen is approximately 2,685 dollars. There is no suspect information at this time.

Victim: 34 YOM

Deputies were dispatched to a report of Larceny. Upon investigation, an unknown person(s) stole the victim's snowboard (valued at 750 dollars). The incident took place yesterday, 2-24-24. At this time, there is no suspect information. 


Case#2024001017/DWI-Open Container/ 2-25-24

Handling Deputy: C. Podolak

Address: I-25 267 Mile Marker

Arrestee: Martine Gonzales 22 YOM

At approximately 5:55am, Deputy Podolak conducted a traffic stop where contact was made with the driver. Speaking with the driver, it was apparent that he was under the influence of an intoxicating liquor/drugs. The driver, Mr. Gonzales admitted to drinking earlier that evening, into the early morning hours. Mr. Gonzales was ultimately arrested for DWI and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Dentention Center. 


case 2024001014 - Unlawful taking of a motor vehicle - 02/24/24

Entering: Cpl: F. Hernandez

Location: Juniper Rd, Santa Fe NM 

Stolen: Custum built Buggy 

Deputies responded to the location in reference to an unlawful taking of a motor vehicle. Upon arrival contact was made with the victim, who stated he placed his custom build buggy (yellow/black) is his front yard for sale. The victim stated when he returned home from work he noticed the dune buggy was gone. No suspect information is available; the case is under investigation.
