On Sunday, July 2, 2023 at approximately 12:42 pm, Deputies were dispatched to the Buffalo Thunder Resort in reference to a sexual assault. Victim reported they were sexually assaulted during the early morning hours. Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division arrived on scene and took over the investigation.

Location: Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility
Victim: 32 YOF
On Saturday, July 1, 2023 at approximately 6:45 am, Deputies responded to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility in reference to an unresponsive female. Paramedics with Santa Fe County Fire Department also arrived on scene and took over life saving measures from medical staff at the facility. No signs of foul play were observed or suspected. Detectives with the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office took over the investigation. Cause of death is pending at this time.

Deputies were dispatched in reference to a burglary. Through investigation it was learned the victim parked her vehicle at the above location. While inside a business, the unknown suspect(s) unlawfully entered the vehicle and took the above items.

Deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident. Driver agreed to SFST's and showed signs of impairment. Subject was arressted and agreed to chemical testing. Results were 0.23g/210L and 0.21g/210L. Subject was booked into Santa Fe ADC with out incident.

Loss: Currency ($10,000)
Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a fraud. Through investigation it was learned the victim wired a total of $10,000.00 to what he believed to be a BitCoin investment company. The victim learned the investment was a scam. It is believed the suspect is from another country., possibly China.

Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to two females fighting. Upon arrival it was learned the above subjected battered her girlfriend. Subject was arrested, transported and booked without incident.

Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a stolen tractor. The reporting party/victim advised someone stole his tractor, sometime between June 28th and today.

Deputy responded to a reckless driver call. The vehicle was observed failing to maintain lanes, and a traffic stop was conducted. An odor of alcoholic beverage was detected. SFST's were conducted, and impairment was observed. Driver was later booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center without incident.
