Deputies responded to the above address for a domestic. The suspect battered his mother and was the primary aggressor. The suspect was arrested for the charge of battery against a household member. Additionally the suspect had an outstanding warrant.

On the above date deputies responded to an unattended death. A DNR was in place and the death was of natural causes. No foul play was observed.

Location: Bishops Lodge Road at Big Tesuque Canyon
Arrested: Brian Birk, 63-year-old male from Tesuque N.M.
On 8-3-21 Mr. Birk was traveling south on Bishops Lodge Road when he veered out of his lane and crashed head on into a northbound vehicle. Further investigation revealed he was intoxicated at the time and refused to submit to chemical testing. He was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Jail accordingly.

Location: residence on Camino De Los Bacas, Chimayo N.M.
Arrested: Sherwood Ensey, 73-year-old male from Chimayo N.M.
On 8-3-21 Mr. Ensey battered 2 people during an altercation at his residence. One of the victims was a family member. Both victims sustained injuries, one had severe scratched to their eyes. Mr. Ensey was placed under arrest and booked into the Santa Fe County Jail accordingly.

The suspect was involved in a crash in the above location. The suspect was later admitted to be under the influence of THC. SFST's were administered and impairment was observed. The suspect was arrested and refused chemical testing. The suspect was booked into ADC without incident.

Deputy Tanner Tixier responded to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center for a weapons infraction. Jail staff found an homemade weapon in inmates Bravo's possession. Inmate Bravo was rebooked on the charge of Possession of a weapon by a prisoner.

Arrested: Jonathan Ricardo Rivas-Sotelo 28 yoa, Santa Fe, NM
Subject failed to stop at the stop sign at the above location. A traffic stop was conducted and deputy learned above subject had a revoked driver license with the arrest clause attached (122G). Subject was arrested and booked at ADC accordingly.

Deceased: 53 yoa female, Santa Fe, NM
Deputies responded to above location in reference to a female that committed suicide with a self inflicted gun shot wound. Medic personnel arrive on scene and found no signs of life. OMI arrived on scene and found no signs of foul play. The deceased was transported pending an autopsy. Case is under investigation.
