On Friday, October 16th, 2020, deputies were patrolling the above area when they observed a red Toyota Pickup truck failing to maintain a single lane of travel in the southbound lanes of U.S. 84/285. Deputies attempted a traffic stop and the vehicle was slow to stop. Deputies made contact with the driver and he displayed signs of impairment. Subject was later placed under arrest and agreed to provide a breath sample, which showed he was above the legal limit to operate a motor vehicle. Driver was subsequently transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility and booked without incident.

On October 17, 2020, Deputies responded to US 84/285 mile marker 171 in regards to a single motor vehicle crash. Deputies made contact with the driver/suspect who showed signs of impairment. The driver/suspect performed SFST’s poorly. The driver/suspect agreed to provide a blood sample. The driver/suspect was placed under arrest transported and booked into ADC.
