Charges: Speeding – Driving while Revoked
At 4:22am the suspect was stopped for speeding (74mph in a 55mph Safety Corridor) on NM-502. When stopped the driver presented a New Mexico Interlock License. When asked if the vehicle she was operating was interlocked equipped she replied that it was not.
The suspect was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility on the above charge(s).
The suspect's vehicle was seized as per Santa Fe County Ordinance.

Deputies were dispatched to location in reference to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, witnesses told deputies that they observed the male strike the female several times. When deputies spoke to the male and upon arresting him, he pulled away in an attempt to not be arrested. Subject was restrained and transported to jail where he was booked accordingly.

Above subject was found with a black tar substance during a search of his person while being incarcerated at the above location. During the investigation, the suspect stated he found the contraband in the cell and knew it was Heroin and admitted he was going to use it for personal use. Above subject was re-booked accordingly.

Suspect: Aldo Avitia-Ortiz, 25, Santa Fe, NM
Charges: Aggravated DWI, Speeding, Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic
On Sunday, September 17, 2017 at approximately 1:39am, deputy observed the above vehicle traveling on US 84/285 at 94mph in the 65mph zone. Deputy got behind the vehicle when the vehicle was seen crossing over the lines belonging to another lane. A traffic stop was conducted and the vehicle came to a stop. Contact was made with the driver, who was the suspect. Suspect showed signs of impairment and the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered. Suspect displayed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest. Suspect was read the NM Implied Consent Advisory and agreed to submit to a breath test. Suspect provided two breath samples above a .16 BrAC. Suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident. Vehicle was not seized due to the driver not having any prior DWIs.

Suspect: John Barnhill, 62, Bar Nunn, Wyoming
Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance, to wit: Methamphetamine; DWI; Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic
On Saturday, September 16, 2017 at approximately 9:39pm, deputy responded to the area in reference to a vehicle driving back and forth. The vehicle was observed crossing the lines on both sides of the road and a traffic stop was conducted. Contact was made with the driver, who was the suspect, who showed signs of impairment. Suspect admitted to consuming too much meth and was transported to the hospital. Methamphetamine was located inside the vehicle after the suspect tried to move it. Suspect was placed under arrest and read the NM Implied Consent Advisory and agreed to submit to a blood test. After providing a blood sample the suspect was medically cleared, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility. The vehicle was not seized due to the suspect not having any prior DWIs.

Driver was observed committing a traffic violation. A traffic stop was initiated and contact was made with the driver. The driver showed signs of impairment and sobriety tests were administered. The driver was arrested and he submitted to chemical testing. The results of the tests were .14 .15 The driver was transported to jail where he was booked accordingly.

On Saturday, September 16, 2017 at approximately 1:46pm, I was dispatched to a burglary at Arroyo Griego Gomez. I met with the victim who stated that listed items were taken from her residence. Victim said the last time items were seen was approximately 6 months ago, so she was unsure when the incident occurred. No evidence was located at the residence due to the time frame.

Items stolen: Jewelry – 2 purses – Clothes – Guitar – 1 pair of shoes
