Victim: 70 Year Old Male

 Victim stated he had a friend who was contacted by unknown individual claiming to be a sheriff deputy marshal. Victim said his friend was told he needed to pay $1000.00 dollars for a warrant he had or he would be arrested tomorrow. Victim stated he told his friend he would take care of the situation. Victim said he obtained two Green Dot Cards from CVS and paid the unknown individual the $1000.00 dollars and then realized he had been defrauded.

Suspect: Stephen Babcock(36)

Deputies were dispatched to the area of NM 14 north bound in reference to a reckless driver. Contact was made with the suspect and he was found to heroin on his person. Suspect was taken to SFCADC without incident.


0218000841-Child Abuse-Battery Against a Household Member-01/16/18

Victims: 14 year old male-34 year old female

Suspect: Dominic Rivera(39)

Dispatched advised of a fight in progress on NM 14 MM42. Deputies arrived at the location and found it to be a Domestic. Suspect throw victims purse out the window when victim stopped to retrieve her purse, suspect pushed the victim. Juvenile victim came to his mothers defense and suspect held down juvenile victim causing him scratches to his back and sides. Suspect was arrested on above charges.

Location: 200 block of State Road 76 (La Puebla)

Deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash.  A driver's license check was conducted which revealed that her license was revoked with the arrested clause attached.  She was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County ADC accordingly.

Taken: $1700

On January, 16 2018 Victim  reported while reviewing her bank statement she noticed there was six checks cashed at 101 Paseo de Parelta at the bank of America in December. Total amount of checks cashed is $1,700. Victim stated she has no idea how the individuals got the checks. Victim stated she thought she had misplaced her checkbook back in December.

Victim advised he was out of town for the weekend and returned to find the listed items stolen from his residence.  Case is under investigation.

On Monday January 15, 2018 deputies served Cherice with an arrest warrant at the Santa Fe County Jail.  The warrant was for failing to comply on a original charge of shoplifting.

Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a possible larceny.  During the investigation, it was learned the above subject had an active bench warrant for her arrest out of RASO for failure to pay fines.  Subject was arrested and booked at ADC accordingly.
