On the aforementioned date, Deputies responded to the victim's home in Turquoise Trail area in reference to a report of a Burglary.  Upon arrival, an investigation was conducted and forced entry to the home was gained by the unknown suspect(s).  Upon entering the home between the hours of 11:00AM and 8:00PM on the reported date, the suspect(s) stole miscellaneous jewelry, coins, cash currency, DVD's, LA Laker's figurines.  This case is currently under investigation.

Victim reported he hired a spa company to fix his hot tub.  After being inspected victim provided a check for the parts for the hot tub.  The check was cashed the same day however the company never returned to fix the hot tub and won't return his calls.  Case is under investigation.

Charges: Santa Fe Municipal Court Warrants X2

On 01/28/18 the above individual was booked on to outstanding Bench Warrants issued out of the Santa Fe Municipal Court. The warrants were for failing to appear on a charge of Alcoholic Beverages in Unlicensed Places and the other for Criminal Trespassing.


0218001398, Death Investigation, 1-27-2018

Location: 60 Block of Wolf Road, Santa Fe, NM

Decedent:   61  year old female

Deputies were dispatched to above location in reference  to female that was found unconscious and not breathing. OMI arrived on scene and found no signs of foul play.


Case #0218001391, Aggravated Fleeing

Location: US 84/285 Mile Marker 176, Santa Fe, NM

Vehicle: 1994 White Ford Ranger

Suspect: Nicholas Gonzales, 28, Alcalde, NM

Charges: Aggravated Fleeing; Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon; Possession of a Controlled Substance, to wit: Heroin; Reckless Driving; No Registration; No Insurance; Service of Documents

On Friday, January 26, 2018 at approximately 11:54pm, deputies attempted to stop the above vehicle as it was traveling in the wrong lane of travel. The vehicle refused to stop and continued to travel in the wrong lane of travel. The vehicle nearly struck several vehicles head-on and were narrowly missed. The vehicle went onto NM 502 and then onto NM 30 where the vehicle was stopped. The vehicle was driven by the suspect, who was found to be in possession of heroin. The vehicle was not registered nor insured. Suspect was placed under arrest. Suspect also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for failing to appear on the original charge of Driving While License Revoked. Suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident. No one received any life-threatening injuries as a result of this incident.


Case#: 0218001385, Aggravated DUI, 1/27/18

Person Arrested: Erik Zuniga-Cruz, 37 year old male subject

 

On the aforementioned date, Deputies responded to the area of Henry Lynch and Agua Fria to a report of a motor vehicle crash.  Upon arrival, contact was made with the above mentioned male subject.  The odor of alcoholic beverages was detected and a DUI investigation was conducted.  The male subject was subsequently arrested and transported to the adult detention center where he was charged and booked without incident.

Items Stolen: Flat screen TV, laptop computer and cash

On Friday, January 26, 2018 victim reported between 12:40pm and 4:15pm someone unlawfully entered his residence through an unlocked rear window and stole the aforementioned items.  There is currently no suspect info.

On Friday January 26, 2018 Deputies observed a vehicle with a license plate that was returning to a stolen motor vehicle.  After stopping the vehicle, it was discovered the license plate was switched from the reported stolen vehicle.  Victim was unaware when the theft occurred.
