On 07-09-18, contact was made with the above individual, During the contact it was learned he had two active bench warrants issued out of Luna County, State of New Mexico. He was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center accordingly.

On 07-09-18, Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a stolen wallet. The victim reported her wallet was stolen, after she left it by a slot machine. Suspect information is pending at this time.

Suspect: Shantel Benavidez, 29, Santa Fe, NM
On Sunday, July 8, 2018 at approximately 3:40pm, Deputy responded to location in reference to an inmate found in possession of contraband. Suspect had been arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility earlier in the day. Suspect was found in possession of a knife. Suspect was rebooked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

Suspect was located by Det. Alderete at above listed location. C. Morales was the suspect in an Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon incident which a warrant was drafted for his arrest. Suspect also had eight additional arrest warrants. He was arrested on all warrants. He was booked into the Santa Fe County ADC accordingly.
0218011059 DWI/ Careless Driving 7/8/18

Location: NM599 W. Frontage Road
Suspect was traveling on the West Frontage Road of 599 at a high rate of speed. He lost control of the vehicle and crashed. Deputies arrived and made contact with the suspect. Suspect displayed signs of impairment and was arrested. He provided a breath sample and had a breath alcohol content of over the legal limit of .08. He was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County ADC without further incident.
0218010979 Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon/ Conspiracy 7/6/18

Location: Camino Vista Aurora
It was reported that the above listed female suspect got into a physical altercation with the victim. During the altercation the victim reported that the male suspect pulled a gun from his waist band and pointed it at the victim. Both the male and female suspects fled the scene prior to our arrival. Later that night the female suspect was located and was arrested for conspiracy to commit a felony along with an outstanding warrant for her arrest. She was booked into the Santa Fe County ADC without further incident. An arrest warrant was drafted for the male suspect. This investigation is on going.

On Saturday, July 7, 2018 at approximately 6:50pm, Deputy responded to location in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle. An unknown suspect(s) gained entry into the vehicle through an open window and removed a wallet containing cash, credit cards, and a driver's license. Investigation is ongoing.
Case #0218011017, Aggravated DWI

Location: US 84/285 mile marker 180, Santa Fe, NM
Vehicle: 1997 white Ford F150
Suspect: Vicente Olivas, 49, Center, CO
Charges: Aggravated DWI, Driver Must Be Licensed, Open Container
On Saturday, July 7, 2018 at approximately 2:40pm, Deputy observed the above suspect, who was driving the vehicle, get out of the driver's seat and begin pushing the vehicle. Deputy assisted to get the vehicle off of the roadway. Suspect showed signs of intoxication and the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered. Suspect continued to show signs of impairment and was placed under arrest for DWI. Suspect was read the New Mexico Implied Consent Advisory and agreed to submit to a breath test. Breath test results showed the suspect's BrAC to be 0.16 or higher. The driver did not possess a valid driver's license and an open container was located inside the main cabin of the vehicle. Suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident. Vehicle was not seized due to the suspect not having any prior DWIs.

On Friday, July 6, 2018 at approximately 2:24pm, Deputy responded to location in reference to a burglary. An unknown suspect(s) gained entry into the residence by forcing open the door. Damage was caused to the door, but it did not appear anything was taken once entry was gained. Investigation is ongoing.
