Deputies were dispatched to location in regards to a motorist assist. Upon arriving, the occupant of the vehicle was found to have an active warrant for his arrest. The suspect was arrested without incident and taken to jail.

Suspect was arrested after deputies were dispatched to the 2000 block of Hwy 14 for a reported fight. Upon deputy arrival, it was determined that the suspect had engaged in a physical fight with another. While being arrested the suspect kicked the deputy and resisted arrest. Suspect was taken to jail where he was booked accordingly.

Arrested: Gregory Ways, 58-year-old male from Chimayo N.M.
On 10-01-17 at around 3:30am The Sheriff's office received several reports of a vehicle driving the wrong way on interstate 25, headed south in the north bound lanes. Deputies located the wrong way driver at mile marker 286 and conducted a traffic stop. The driver, Mr. Ways showed signs of alcohol impairment and admitted to consuming alcohol prior to driving. A DWI investigation was conducted and he was subsequently arrested on the above charges.

On Friday, September 29, 2017 at approximately 11:54pm, Deputy was dispatched to location in reference to a Correctional Officer who had been battered by two inmates. The above suspects battered a correctional officer after medications had been distributed. Suspect 1 was also found in possession of Suboxone. Both suspects were rebooked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident. No one received any life-threatening injuries as a result of this incident.

Arrested: Andrew Trujillo Santa Fe Age: 53
Police were dispatched to location for a vehicle stopped on the roadway. Officers arrived and found a vehicle half on the roadway. contact was made with the driver and was suspected to be impaired Tribal Officers contacted Deputies who arrived and contacted driver. Trujillo displayed signs of impairment. Deputies then administered SFST's where Trujillo was unable to complete them as instructed. Trujillo was arrested and submitted to chemical testing. Trujillo was given a breath test with the results being .28, .27. Trujillo was then taken to jail.

On 09/29/17 Deputies were dispatched to the above location in regards to suspicious activity. The reporting party stated he arrived at work and found the front gates to the business locked with a bike lock. He removed the lock and found a Gold Hyundai parked in the Contact was made with the above individual who dismantled the locking control arms to the gate to access the property. He was placed under arrest and found to be on probation. The above individual was booked accordingly into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention facility.
