Deputy Bell was dispatched to the Santa Fe County Jail in reference to an inmate in possession of narcotics.  Upon arrival it was determined the above listed inmate was found in possession of cocaine.  Inmate was rebooked accordingly.

Victim reported his pistol was stolen out of his vehicle while he was away from the car.  Case is under investigation.

On the listed date, Deputy Ortiz was dispatched to the location for a Burglary.  Victim reported the above items stolen from her residence.  Case us under investigation.

Location: Old Las Vegas Hwy

 Suspect: Unknown

The victim returned to her residence at approximately 10:00pm and noticed that there was forced entry damage to the back door.  After deputies checked the house the victim determined that the only items missing were a jewelry box, a music box, and a belt sander.  Total value $400.00. The burglary occurred sometime between 12:00pm and 10:000pm.

The case is under investigation.

Deputy Blaisure was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a male not conscious not breathing.  Upon arrival it was determined the male passed away due to unknown causes.  OMI arrived on scene and found no signs of foul play.

Location: US Highway 84/285 Mile Marker 177, Santa Fe, NM

Suspect: Mary Montoya, 33, Albuquerque, NM

On Saturday, August 5, 2017 at approximately 12:01am, a traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle the suspect was in. Suspect was the registered owner of the vehicle and returned with an outstanding arrest warrant. The original charge on the warrant was Battery. Suspect was placed under arrest, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

Above listed suspect was found in possession of cocaine and suboxone while incarcerated in the Santa Fe County Jail.  Suspect was re-booked accordingly.

Victim: Vivian Gonzales, 80, Colorado Springs, CO

On Thursday, August 3, 2017 at approximately 10:46pm, Deputies responded to location in reference to a counterfeit bill. It was discovered that the victim had in her possession a counterfeit $5 bill and tried to exchange the bill when it didn't work in one of the machines. The victim does not know where she may have obtained the bill.

Vehicle: 2015 Hyundai Elantra

Sometime between 1030pm August 2 and 7:20am August 3 an unknown person "keyed" the above vehicle causing $2000 in damage. No suspects at this time.
