The victim returned to her residence at approximately 10:00pm and noticed that there was forced entry damage to the back door. After deputies checked the house the victim determined that the only items missing were a jewelry box, a music box, and a belt sander. Total value $400.00. The burglary occurred sometime between 12:00pm and 10:000pm.
The case is under investigation.

On Saturday, August 5, 2017 at approximately 12:01am, a traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle the suspect was in. Suspect was the registered owner of the vehicle and returned with an outstanding arrest warrant. The original charge on the warrant was Battery. Suspect was placed under arrest, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

On Thursday, August 3, 2017 at approximately 10:46pm, Deputies responded to location in reference to a counterfeit bill. It was discovered that the victim had in her possession a counterfeit $5 bill and tried to exchange the bill when it didn't work in one of the machines. The victim does not know where she may have obtained the bill.
