Victim reported that sometime between 12:00 and 2:30 someone broke into his home and stole a Sony Bravia 55” television.


0217002021 / Aggravated Assault With a Deadly Weapon / 2-11-17

Suspect: Marcelino Vigil

On above date, Deputies were dispatched to the area of NM 76 in reference to shots being fired at the victim of this case.  Upon arrival it was determined the victim and suspect became involved in an altercation which led to the suspect firing one shot at the victim with a 20 gauge shotgun.  There were no injuries and the suspect was located and arrested on the above charges.

On above date, Deputy Eccles was dispatched to Housta Ct, in reference to a burglary.  Upon arrival it was determined between 2: 00 pm and 4:00 pm unknown suspects entered the residence through an unlocked door and stole the items listed above.  Case is under investigation.

Charges: Magistrate Court Warrant

On 02/11/17 the above individual was placed under arrest for an active Magistrate Court Warrant, charging him with failure to comply with conditions set fourth by the Court. He was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Corrections Facility accordingly.

Stolen: Microsopes, backpacks, garden tools, gloves, dry erase board, first aid kit, and cleaning supplies

Value: $3,435

On 02/10/17 the victim reported sometime between 11/2/16 and 2/10/17 unknown persons forced entry into a storage cabinet and stole the above items. The unknown suspect(s) appeared to have used a shovel to pry open the door. Suspect information is pending at this time.

On above date, Deputy Maylone was dispatched to a call in reference to a fraud.  Upon arrival it was learned from the victim after going over business related accounts a fraudulent check was found to be cashed with the above listed suspects name.  A search indicated the business had never had contact with the suspect before.  It is unknown how the check was obtained.  The case is under investigation.

On above date, Deputy Hilderbrandt was dispatched to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center in reference to an inmate with an arrest warrant.  The above listed suspect was rebooked on the arrest warrant without incident.

Above listed person was found to have an active warrant for failing to appear in court. He was booked accordingly.


0217001802-Fraud, Impersonating a Peace Officer- 2-7-17

Location- 100 Block of County Road 84

Victim received a phone call from a male stating he was a Lieutenant with the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office.  The male advised the victim that he had outstanding warrants and needed to pay them. Suspect advised victim to buy several pre paid credit cards totaling $3,000. Case is under investigation.

On 02/07/17 the victim advised reported between 2/6/17-2/7/17 unknown suspect(s) made entry into his garage and stole above items. Forced entry was made into the garage by prying the wooden doors apart. Shoe impressions were located and photographed, no further information. Suspect information is pending at this time.
