Deputies responded to a call for service in reference to a larceny.  The reporting party advised a tool valued at $500.00 was stored in a garage at the location and was possibly taken two months ago.  The reporting party will be reviewing footage for this incident.

Deputies responded to a call for service in reference to a cardiac arrest.  Medics were on scene and advised the patient was beyond any life-saving efforts.  OMI was on scene and conducted a separate investigation.  No signs of suspicious activity were identified.

Arrested: Daniel Valencia, Santa Fe, NM 50 YOF

Subject was incarcerated at the jail and had an active arrest warrnat.


Case #2024004190 // Driving While License Revoked, Traffic Offenses, Warrant Service - 8/12/2024

Location: US 84/285 & NM 106

Arrested: Fernando Varela (25 YO)

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a several traffic infractions. While making contact with the driver, it was discovered his driver's licensed had been revoked due to a prior DUI. Two warrants were also found for the driver for failure to pay fines on the original charges of previous DUI's. Driver was arrested. 


Case #2024004181 / Theft From a Motor Vehicle - Criminal Damage to Property / 08/12/2024

Stolen / Damaged: Cataltyic Converter / School Bus (1,500.00)

Deputies responded to a call for service in reference to a larceny.  It was discovered that someone had stolen a catalytic converter from a a schhol bus sometime between over the last few days.  Case is pending further investigation.

Deputies responded to a call for service in reference to criminal damage to property.  The reporting party is unsure when the damage occurred and has no suspect information at this time.

Damaged: Motorized gate (1,200.00)

Deputies responded to a call for service in reference to criminal damage to property.  The reporting party advised that he noticed his motorized gate was bent and had dents at 9:30 am this morning.  He estimated the value to repair the gate as mentioned above.

Missing: Maximiliano Contreras (25 YOA)

Description: 5'7"; 180 lbs; Hispanic; brown eyes; short hair; large scar on left arm

Deputies responded to a call for service in reference to a missing person.  Mr. Contreras has not been in contact with family in approximately three weeks.  He is known to frequent the Santa Fe city area and is described as above.  He was enterend into NCIC.

Damaged: Walls spray painted - screen torn ($5,000.00 in damage)

Deputies responded to a call for service in reference to criminal damage to property.  The victim reported the damage occurred between Aug 9th and Aug 12th.  The cost to repair the damage was estimated by the victim.  


Case#2024004170 Agg. DWI 08-12-24

Location: Interstate Exit 299 (Glorieta)

Arrested: Brenda Renshaw 64 yoa female (ElDorado)

Subject was observed driving the wrong way onto Interstate 25. A traffic stop was conducted on the driver who showed signs of intoxication. SFST's were conducted and signs of impairment were observed. The subject was arrested and taken for chemical testing. The driver only provided one breath sample and refused to provide a second. The subject was booked into SFADC without incident.
