On 1-27-17 around 3:30am Deputies contacted Mr. Grimm who was stranded in a vehicle at Highway 14 and San Marcos Loop. After running his information it was learned he had 4 outstanding warrants for his arrest out of Bernalillo County.

INMATE WAS FOUND TO HAVE A FOLDED PIECE OF PAPER. CONTENTS WITHIN THE PAPER WERE FOUND TO BE TWO STRIPS OF ORANGE FILM/SUBOXONE.INMATE WAS READ HIS RIGHTS PER MIRANDA. INMATE STATED HE KNEW IT WAS SUBOXONE AND WAS GOING TO USE IT TO "GET CANDY" LATER ON.
INMATE WAS CHARGED AND REBOOKED.

On above date Deputy Trujillo was dispatched to the above location in reference to a missing person. Upon arrival it was determined the above listed adult female was reported missing by her father. Jenica Lugo is described as 5'2" tall, 125 lbs., blonde hair, brown eyes, wearing a light blue shirt and gray leggings. The case is under investigation.

Incident Location: Turquoise Trail Subdivision
On the aforementioned date, Deputies responded to the area in reference to Burglary of a Motor Vehicle. Upon speaking with the victim, it was discovered that an unknown person gained entry into the victims vehicle and stole his speaker box and attempted to steal his stereo. The suspect(s) damaged the dash board on the victim's SUV in attempts to remove the stereo. This case is under investigation. No suspect information is available at this time.

A traffic stop was conducted on the suspect for speeding. When checked he was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

Suspect: David Tafoya – 42 - Santa Fe, NM
Charges: Warrant Arrest – Suspended Driver’s License – Misuse of Registration Plate – No Insurance
A traffic stop was conducted on the suspect. When checked he was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest. During the stop it was learned that he was driving on a suspended license, there was no insurance on the vehicle, and the registration plate did not belong on the vehicle.
The suspect’s vehicle was impounded until he can provide proper proof of ownership.
The suspect was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility on the above charge(s).
Case-0217001145-Criminal Damage to Property-01/24/17

Location: I25 west frontage road & Las Estrallas Rd.
Damaged: Mail Cluster Boxes
Deputies were dispatched to a report criminal damage to property. Report of cluster mailboxes damaged. I observed two of the eight cluster boxes were damaged in the rear. The back doors were bent and appeared to have been forced open with a tool similar to that of a pry bar. There was no mail remaining in any of the boxes. The post master was notified and advised they would investigate.

On 01/24/17 the victim reported his snowboard was stolen from the above location. The incident occurred between 3:30pm and 4:30pm. Suspect information is pending at this time.
