Charges: Speeding - Aggravated DWI
The suspect was stopped for speeding (83Mph in a 55Mph) on US-84/285 at the 183 Mile Marker. Upon contact an odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected and the driver stated he had one drink. The suspect showed signs of impairment on the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and was arrested. The suspect agreed to provide a breath sample with the readings being .16 BrAC and .16 BrAC.
The suspect was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility on the above charge(s).
Due to a prior conviction for DWI the suspect's vehicle was seized pursuant to Santa Fe County Ordinance.
