Victim stated he was contacted by SGT Michael Stevens with the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Warrant division and advised he had two warrants. Victim stated he was instructed to obtain prepaid cards totaling over a thousand dollars and call the warrants division back with the card numbers. Victim explained he did as instructed and provided the suspect with the card number. Victim stated he was later advised by a friend there was a scam going on with similar circumstances. Case is currently under investigation.

Suspect: Augustin Venecia
Deputy Eccles was dispatched to the area of Camino Vista Aurora in reference to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival it was learned the listed suspect battered the victim by hitting her in the head with a metal flashlight. Suspect fled the scene prior to Deputies arriving. An arrest warrant was obtained for the suspect on the above charge.

Deputy Archuleta was dispatched to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center in reference to an inmate found in possession of narcotics. Upon arrival it was determined the listed suspect was found in possession of an orange film like substance consistent with suboxone while being booked. Suspect was booked on the above charge.

Suspect was contacted during a crash where the vehicle's wheel fell off while being operated. Upon running the suspect it was learned his driving privileges were revoked with the arrest clause attached. Suspect was arrested and transported to ADC without further incident. Vehicle was not seized due to being within the city limits.

Victim reported while away on vacation she left her door unlocked. Upon returning from the vacation, victim advised multiple pieces of jewelry were stolen from the residence. There were no signs of forced entry. Case is under investigation.
