 Suspect: Kyle Brower – 33 - Santa Fe, NM

Charges: Aggravated DWI – Careless Driving – Expired Registration

At approximately 9:30pm the above suspect was involved in a Motor Vehicle Crash in which his Smart Car left the roadway and rolled over several times.  The suspect showed signs of impairment.  The suspect was transported to the hospital due to injuries.  At the hospital the suspect refused any field sobriety testing and blood draw.  The suspect was admitted into the hospital.

The suspect will be summoned into court on the above charge(s).


0217011883 – Burglary (Residential) – 08-12-17

Location: Rogersville Rd (Cerrillos)

 Suspect: Edward Laird – 51 - Albuquerque, NM

Charges: Burglary – Larceny – Receiving Stolen Property

At approximately 9:30pm a home owner who was out of town saw someone on his security cameras around his residence, and then noticed that the security camera system was disabled. When Deputies arrived they found a stolen pickup truck near the gate to the victim’s property.  On checking the residence it was observed that there were items in the house that had been gathered together by the burglar.  A search of the area failed to locate the suspect.  Before leaving the residence the deputies restored the security system to working order.  Approximately one hour later the home owner called and stated that the burglar had returned.  Deputies then returned to the area but parked some distance away from the home and approached on foot.  The above suspect was found sleeping, on bedding that he took from the bedroom, behind a storage shed next to the house, and was arrested.

The suspect was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility on the above charge(s).

Person Arrested: Donovan Duran, 33 year old male

 

On the aforementioned date, Deputies responded to the La Bajada rest area regarding reports of an intoxicated female.  Upon arrival, contact with the female was made which turned out to be a medical episode.  Contact was also made with above listed male subject who was accompanying the female.  It was discovered that the male subject had an active warrant for his arrest out of the 1st Judicial District Court for failing to comply with the Electronic Monitoring program.  The male was taken into custody and transported to the adult detention center where he was booked without incident.

Incident Location: Cities of Gold Hotel, (Pojoaque Area)

Items Taken: 1 Gold Wedding band with small diamonds on band and 1 Gold Engagement ring with a 2 karat chocolate diamond.

Value: $4,000

On the aforementioned date, Deputies responded to the above listed location regarding a report of a Larceny.  Upon arrival, it was learned that the victim forgot the above mentioned jewelry inside the hotel room.  The reporting party remembered leaving the items behind hours after checking out.  This case is under investigation.


0217011870 / Aggravated DWI / 8-12-2017

Location: Old Las Vegas Highway Santa Fe, NM

Arrested: Charles Monroe      Age: 49       Santa Fe, NM  

Deputies responded to the area of Interstate 25 near milepost 271 for a report of a reckless driver. Deputies located the vehicle exiting the Interstate onto Old Pecos Trail and initiated a traffic stop at the entrance  to El Gancho. The driver was contacted and showed signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and refused chemical testing. The driver was booked into jail and charged accordingly.   


0217011892, Breaking and Entering/Criminal damage to property, 8-13-2017

Location: 30 Buffalo Thunder Trail, Santa Fe, NM

Suspect(s): Pending

Victim reported he left his vehicle unattended between the hours of 3:00 am and 6:00 am at the above location on today's date. Victim stated an unknown suspect(s) damaged the rear passenger small window with an unknown object prior to entering the vehicle.  During the investigation, the damaged portion of window was located on the front dash board. The victim reported nothing appeared to be disturbed and nothing was reported stolen.  The case is currently under investigation.

Above listed person was found to have an active warrant for failing to appear as ordered by the court.  She was booked accordingly.

An unknown person(s) forced the bedroom window open with an unknown tool. Suspect's gathered all the items in the residence and placed them in the garage. no items were missing.


0217011817 Possession of a Controlled SubstanceX3-08/11/17

Deputies were dispatched to the jail in reference to a narcotics violation. Upon arrival it was determined that the Inmate was discovered to be in possession of Heroin, Meth and Suboxone in the inseam of his boxer shorts. Inmate was rebooked. 


0217011817-Unlawful taking of a motor vehicle -8/11/17

Deputy Assigned: E. Eccles

Location: Paseo Nopal

Suspect: Kevin Gomez-Lazano(22)

On the above date, I was dispatched to a theft of a motor vehicle at the incident location. Upon arrival, contact was made with the victim who reported his vehicle was stolen on today's date between 5:30 and 6:30 am. It was also learned a hit and run crash also occurred around the same time on Paseo Nopal and the two incidents were related. Suspect was read his Miranda Rights and agreed to speak to me regarding the incident. The suspect admitted to stealing the victims vehicle after crashing his vehicle and leaving the stolen vehicle at the Anasazi Apartments off of Airport Road. The vehicle was recovered. The suspect was arrested and booked accordingly.
