Suspect: Lance Beitel, 42, Santa Fe, NM
Vehicle: 1998 white Chevy Pickup
Charges: Aggravated DWI, Careless Driving, No Insurance
On Monday, May 1, 2017 at approximately 11:33pm, Deputy responded to the area in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Upon checking the area, Deputy located the vehicle at location due to it having been involved in a crash. Contact was made with the suspect, who was the driver. Suspect displayed signs of impairment and was asked to submit to the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. During the tests the driver showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest for DWI. Suspect was read the New Mexico Implied Consent Advisory and refused to submit to a breath test. Suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without Incident. The vehicle was not seized due to the suspect not having any prior DWIs.
Case #0217006025, Battery Against a Household Member

Suspect: Angela Converse, 33, Espanola, NM
On Monday, May 1, 2017 at approximately 10:20pm, Deputies responded to location in reference to a domestic dispute. Victim and suspect were involved in a verbal argument. During the argument the suspect battered the victim. Suspect was placed under arrest, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident. No one received any life-threatening injuries as a result of this incident.

Victim: 70 Year Old female
Taken: TV, Jewelry and Laptop($3900)
On May 1, 2017 at 05:23pm deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a burglary. Victim stated she came home and found that it had been burglarized. The victim stated that this happened between 07:40a.m. and 05:15p.m. Signs of force entry were found on the North West part of the house. Bathroom window screen had been removed and window opened. Evidence was collected. Active case will be forwarded to detectives.
Case 0217006008-Possession of a Controlled Substance: To Wit Heroin-05/01/17

Location: 100 Block of Camino de Roberto
On Monday May 1, 2017 at approximately 3:57pm Anthony Martinez was found to have Heroin in his possession during a traffic stop. During an inventory of his vehicle two hypodermic needles and a metal spoon containing brown residue were also located. Martines was transported to ADC where he was booked accordingly.
Case-0217006004-Escape from Penitentiary-Concealing ID 05/01/17

At approximately 2:43PM Dispatch advised of a possible escapee at the Penitentiary of New Mexico on State Road 14. Around the same time Deputies were also dispatched to a welfare check on State Road 14 south of the Penitentiary of New Mexico. Upon making contact with the individual it was learned he had just escaped from the Penitentiary of New Mexico and was walking away from the grounds. Suspect was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Santa Fe County Sheriff's to be interviewed by Detectives. Suspect was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center on above charges.
0217005942 – Death Investigation – 04-29-17

Location: W. Cochiti – Santa Fe - NM
Victim: 56 year old female
Narrative: Deputies were dispatched to a report of a female not conscious and not breathing. Victim’s husband had begun CPR which was taken over by deputies when they arrived on scene.
Upon the arrival of paramedics they checked the victim and found no signs of life.
0217005951 – Battery Against a Household Member – 04-30-17

Suspect: Gustavo Hernandez – Address unknown
Charges: Battery against a Household Member
On Sunday April 30,2017 at 1:50am deputies were dispatched to the Buffalo Thunder Casino in reference to a domestic dispute. The victim stated that the above suspect, who is her boyfriend, became jealous when a male coworker hugged her and kissed her on the cheek. The above suspect told the victim that they were leaving the location. Security surveillance showed the victim and suspect leaving the casino and the male began to pull the victim by her jacket in an aggressive manner. The victim tried to push the suspect away and he continued to pull her by the jacket and he began to punch her on her left shoulder.
The suspect was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility on the above charge(s).
