Arrested: Marcos Lucero    Age: 27    Las Vegas,NM

Deputies were informed of a reckless driver traveling on Interstate 25. Deputies located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. Contact was made with the driver and he was found to have active warrants for his arrest. The driver was placed into custody and then was found to have cocaine and Meth on his person and in his vehicle. The driver was taken to jail where he was booked accordingly.

Victim: 31 Year Old Female

Victim: 30 Year Old Male

Location: 300 BLK. Dinkle Road

I was dispatched to the above location in reference to an aggravated assault.  Upon contact with the victims, they stated the above listed suspect unlawfully entered their house and later refused to leave after being asked numerous times to do so. The suspect later left and stated to the victims he was going to return with a "nine," making the shape of a firearm with his hand.   It was reported the suspect slowed down and  pointed a black in color pistol at the male victim.  The suspect was later located asleep, seated in the driver seat of the described vehicle at  his residence. The described firearm was observed on the left side of the passenger seat, in the suspects reach.  The suspect was removed from the vehicle and placed under arrest. It was revealed the suspect has had prior felony convictions.  He was transported to ADC and booked without further incident.   


0217003008, Battery Against a Household Member, Assault Against a Household Member, 3/3/17

Location: North Shining Sun  Pojoaque

Suspect: Matthew Edmunds  Age: 37  Pojaque

Deputies dispatched to domestic dispute and learned that Matthew Edmunds had threatened to strike a household member with both his fist and an office style chair.  Edmunds then battered the victim by striking victim in the chest area an pushing victim to the floor.  Victim sustained minor injuries (scratches and bruising to the upper arm.  Edmunds was arrested and booked without incident.


0217003024 / Embezzlement of a Motor Vehicle / 3-3-17

Deputy Assigned: Blaine Lattin

Location Richards Avenue

Suspect: David Williams

Vehicle: 2014 Black Chevy Cruze

On above date, Deputy Lattin was dispatched to the above location in reference to an embezzlement of a motor vehicle upon arrival it was determined the above suspect took the victim's car without permission and did not return it.  The case is under investigation.

Location: Santa Fe County Jail

Arrested: Vanessa Velarde       Age: 32     Espanola,NM

Deputies were dispatched to the jail in reference to an inmate being caught with narcotics. Jail staff reported that Inmate Velarde admitted having the narcotics on her person when she was told she would have to submit to walking through the body scanner. Inmate Velarde handed jail staff a strip of suboxone and subutex. Inmate Velarde was rebooked into the jail with the additional charge.


0217002964 / Burglary (Auto) - Larceny / 3-2-2017

Items Stolen: Purse; US Currency

Deputy responded to location in reference to an auto burglary. Victim stated that today between the hours of 11:00 am and 12:00 pm, an unknown person stole the listed items from her vehicle. The case is still under investigation. 

 


Case 0217002907-Intimidation of a Witness-03/02/17

Suspect: James Coriz (57) Chimayo

During a trial at above location suspect was testifying in a case. During the trial the suspect was observed sitting at the witness stand running his right hand across his throat(slit throat motion) towards a Witness(NM State Police Officer).Suspect was arrested and taken into custody.


Case-0217002966-Aggravated Burglary-Larceny-03-02-17

Location: 100 BLK. of N. Shining Sun

Victim: 46 year old male

Taken: Bracelet, Misc. items

Victim stated that on today's date between the hours of 12:00Pm and 4:00pm., an unknown suspect entered the victims home through a dog door. Once suspect was inside of the residence, the suspect began to gather items from within the home and place them outside of the rear patio. Suspect left the area while items were still on scene. Victim stated above items were missing.

Taken Purse, Wallet

Victim stated that on today's date between the hours of 11:00am and 12:00pm., an unknown suspect stole the above items from her vehicle. Victim stated she forgot to lock her vehicle. Suspects gained entry from the driver front door and caused no damage to the vehicle.

Victim: 67 Year Old Male

Suspect: 43 Year Old Male

Taken:$140,000.00 Cash, $500.00 in one dollar coins, a 357 Magnum, 3 pill bottles of Valium,3 pill bottles of Adderall

Upon making contact with the victim, who stated he has been having work done on his house by the above suspect.  Victim said above suspect has been working on his house for the past 5 weeks and since then items have been going missing.  Victim said today he went to place money in his safe and observed the safe was open and the above amount of money missing. Victim was unable to give an exact time when the items may have been taken. No evidence was located on scene due to the amount of time it took to notify the sheriff’s office.  Photos were taken and submitted to evidence.
