Subject: Martha Chaparro, 64 YOF

On August 10, 2026 at approximately 10:50 PM, Deputies were dispatched to the area of mile marker 169 on US 84/285 in reference to a wrong way driver traveling south in the northbound lane. A Deputy was able to locate the vehicle traveling southbound in the north bound lane of N. St. Francis Drive just north of Alamo Drive. As the Deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, the vehicle struck the Deputy's Patrol unit and continued traveling wrong way subsequently coming to a stop in a ditch near the intersection of Alamo Drive and N. St. Francis Drive. Upon making contact with the driver, Deputies observed signs of impairment. Driver agreed to standardized field sobriety tests, but only performed partial tests, however further signs of impairment were observed as well as open alcholic beverage containers inside the vehicle. The driver refused to provide breath samples, and a blood warrant drafted.  Martha was placed under arrest and transported to the Santa Fe Adult Detention Center where she was booked into jail without furhterr incident.


Case #2026004195/Embezzlement of a motor vehicle

Suspect: Rachel Sema 35 YOF

On August 11, 2026, at approximatley 1:36 AM Deputy Benjamin Wilson was dispatched to the location in reference to an unlawful taking of a motor vehicle. Upon arrival Deputy Wilson made contact with the registered owner Victor Montano. He advised that he let his ex-girlfriend Rachel Serna use his vehicle listed above on Tuesday August 4, 2026 and she has not returned to the address since. She has not answered any of his calls. He does not know her current whereabouts. The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen.


Case#2026004184 / Driving while license revoked 122G / 8-10-2026

Assigned: J. Broyles

Entering: Sgt. Hernandez 

Location: Agua Fria Street 

Arrested: George Therrien 67 YOM 

Deputies responded to the area of Agua Fria Street after receiving reports of a reckless driver. Upon arrival the reported vehicle was located, and a traffic stop was initiated. During the course of the traffic stop contact was made with the driver who had a revoked drivers license. The driver was ultimately arrested and transported to SFADC, where he was booked accordingly.


Case #2026004171 // Breaking and Entering - 8/9/2026

Deputy Assigned: J. Corley

Commander Entering: Sgt. A. Hancock 

Location: Puesta Del Sol 

Deputies responded to the residence for a report of breaking and entering. Upon arrival contact was made with the victim who advised that the back window of her deceased father's home had been broken. Deputies cleared the residence, and found no one inside. It was noticed that desks and closets were opened and had been gone through. The caller could not advise what, if anything had been taken at this time but wanted the incident documented.


Case #2026004169 // Aggravated Battery (Deadly Weapon) - 8/9/2026

Location: Los Pinos Rd 

Suspect: Christopher Perez (24 YO)

Altercation occured at an event at Los Golondrinas in which the parties were separated and one was asked to leave the event. Suspect returned to the event after being trespassed. While security was trying to detain him for trespassing, the suspect fled in his vehicle and drug the security guard. Suspect left the scene and is summonsed for the event. 


Case #2026004168 // DWI, Driving While License Revoked, Speeding - 8/9/2026

Deputy Assigned: A. Gallardo

Location: Airport Rd 

Arrested: Juan Vigil (34 YO)

The deputy stopped the vehicle for speeding. During the stop, it was determined that the above-subject driver's license had been revoked due to a prior DWI. The deputy administered standardized field sobriety tests, which indicated signs of impairment. The driver was subsequently arrested for the above charges offenses.


Case #2026004162/Warrant Service

Location:  W. Alameda St.

Subject: Oljaii Benally 24 YOF

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle at the above location, and made contact with Oljaii.  Deputies discovered Oljaii had a warrant out for her arrest.  Oljaii was palced under arrest and transported to the Santa Fe Adult Detention Center where she was booked into jail without further incident.


Case #2026004163/DWI Refusal/Failure to Maintain Ln./Failure to Signal

Location: US 599

Suspect: Eric Bustos 31 YOM

On August 9, 2026, deputies were dispatched to attempt to locate a reckless driver. The reporting party advised that the above-mentioned vehicle was traveling near La Bajada on Interstate 25, swerving across the roadway and striking a guardrail near the rest stop area. Deputies located the vehicle traveling on Veterans Memorial Highway and observed the vehicle's driving behavior. The driver failed to maintain its lane and failed to use its turn signal on several occasions. A traffic stop was subsequently conducted. A search warrant for the driver's blood was completed and a blood draw was conducted. The driver was then transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center, where he was booked accordingly without incident.


Case #2026004146/DWI/08-08-2026

Location: 3800 NM 14, Santa Fe, NM

Arrested: Ivan Martinez, 61 YOM

On Saturday, August 8, 2026, deputies received a call of a reckless driver in the area. The driver was said to possibly be under the influence. Deputies located the vehicle in the area and contact was made with the above driver. The driver displayed signs of impairment, and was subsequently placed under arrest. The driver was read the NM Implied Consent Advisory and he declined to participate in chemical testing. A search warrant for the driver's blood was sought and approved by a Santa Fe Magistrate Court Judge. After a blood draw, he was transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility, where he was booked accordingly.


Case #2026004158/Death Investigation/08-08-2026

Location: Azulejo Court, Santa Fe, NM

Deceased: 95 YOM

On Saturday, August 8, 2026, deputies responded to the above area in reference to a male who was not conscious and not breathing. EMS arrived before deputies and determined the male was deceased. OMI was summoned to the location. At this time, there are no signs of foul play or any suspicious circumstances surround the death.
