Additional Charges: Child Abuse, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Roadways Laned for Traffic
On Wednesday, September 2, 2026, deputies responded to the above area in reference to a hit and run crash. The victim provided a description of the suspect vehicle and a Public Service Aide later located the suspect vehicle pulling into the Turquoise Trail Elementary School. Deputies made contact with the above suspect and he displayed signs of impairment. SFSTs were administered and he was later placed under arrest. The suspect was read the NM Implied Consent Advisory, and he agreed to chemical testing. The suspect later provide breath samples which showed he was above the legal limit. He was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

On Wednesday, September 2, 2026, deputies responded to the above are in reference to a welfare check on an individual. The individual was located in the above area. He displayed signs of impairment and SFSTs were administered. He was placed under arrest and was read the NM Implied Consent Advisory, and he agreed to chemical testing. He provided breath samples that were above the legal limit. He was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

Deputies recognized as subject who had an active warrant for his arrest. After confirming the warrant, Esau was placed under arrest, transported and booked into Santa Fe County Jail without incident.

Deputies responded to the location in reference to a breaking and entering. Deputies learned that some time around 12:34 AM. Unknown suspects gained entry into the victim's vehicle. After entering the vehicle the suspects were alarmed by something and fled the area on foot. This case remains under active investigation.
