Missing: Louis Storm
On this date, deputies responded to Moya Loop in the EL Dorado Community. Lindsay Storm was reporting her 46-year-old, husband "Chip Louis Storm was missing. Earlier this morning, Chip departed at 0800 this morning, and last communicated via text at 1031 am, Chip was not answering any phone calls.
Chip has been off his medication and very depressed, with history of suicidal ideation, RECC pinged his phone. At this time, the pings started out in Edgewood and made their way up to Santa Fe. Chip was not found in the Edgewood or Santa Fe area.
Chip drives a white, 2023 Ford F250 pickup with a bike pad on the tailgate. A close friend has his firearms for safe keeping.
Cpl. Currey had Chip entered into NCIC as missing.
Case #2026002130, 2131/ Probation Violation, Resisting Evading Obstructing/ 4/18/26

Location- Thomas Rd/ Airport Rd
Arrested- Richard Rodriguez (43 year old male/ Santa Fe)
Deputies observed Richard riding a bicycle in the road with no front facing light or rear reflector. Deputies attempted a traffic stop on the bicycle, and he fled. Deputies were able to pursue him on foot and knock him from the bicycle. He was taken into custody and found to be on active probation. He was booked at the SF ADC for the traffic violation, resisting/evading, and a probation violation.

Valle Vista, Santa Fe
Deputies responded to a reported domestic, upon arrival an investigation was conducted and it was determined the above suspect sprayed the victim with WD-40 during an argument. She was arrested and booked without incident.

On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, deputies responded to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility for a report of a battery. Upon arrival, detention officers advised they were at the Presbyterian Hospital with an inmate. During the visit, the inmate battered and assault a detention officer. No injuries were sustained. The inmate was rebooked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

Arrested: Leonel Mercado-Cordova, 43 YOM
On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, deputies were patrolling the above area when they observed a vehicle without a registration plate. A traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the above driver. It was noted the driver was operating a vehicle on a revoked driver's license, and he was displaying signs of impairment. The driver consented to SFSTs and impairment was noted. The driver was read the NM Implied Consent Advisory and he consented to provide a chemical sample. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office. There, he provided breath samples that showed he was over the legal limit. He was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.
