Case #2026001678 // Unattended Death - 3/23/2026

Location: Cities of Gold 

Deceased: Daniel Potter (50 YO)

Deputies responded to the location due to the victim's wife requesting a welfare check due to not hearing from him. Deputies located the male in his vehicle unresponsive. OMI arrived on scene and advised there were no signs of foul play. 


Case #2026001660/ Aggravated DUI, Failure to Maintain Lane, Possession of a Controlled Substance/ 3/23/26

Location- Agua Fria Rd/ Santeros Rd

Arrested- Julio Rascon (39 year old male/ Santa Fe)

A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for failing to maintain its lane. Upon contact with the driver, signs of impairment were observed and the driver was arrested for DUI. Also, narcotics were observed in plain view inside the vehicle. The driver refused to submit a breath sample so a warrant was obtained to draw the driver's blood. After the blood draw and paperwork were completed, he was booked at the SF ADC.

Location- Camino Tierra Real/ Vuelta Ventura

Arrested- Dustin Ryder (44 year old male/ Santa Fe)

Dustin was contacted during a traffic stop and found to have an outstanding felony warrant out of Texas. He was arrested and later booked at the SF ADC to be extradited back to Texas.

Location: Interstate 25 near mile marker 267

Arrested: Mariela Martinez 31YO

Deputies came in contact with the subject during a crash investigtaion. It was learned the subject had an active arrest warrant for traffic violations.

Location: Interstate 25 near mile marker 265

Arrested: George Padilla 44YO

Deputies responded to a crash on Interstate 25. Contact was made with George Padilla and he was identified as a driver involved in the crash. During the investigtaion, Deputies found George show signs on impairment and was arrested and booked according.

Arrested: Daniel Hernandez 30YO

A crash was reported in which Deputies responded to and had contact with the driver who showed signs of impairment. The driver was taken into custody and charged according.

Location: Alfalfa Fields Lane 

Arrested: Satino Hinojos 46 YOA 

Deputies responded to the location in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival contact was made with the parties involved. During the course of the investigation deputies determined the primary aggressor and placed the aggressor under arrest. The suspect was transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.


Case #2026001642/ Aggravated DUI, Speeding/ 3/22/26

Location- US 84/285 at La Puebla

Arrested- Andrea Lujan (47 year old female/ Santa Fe)

A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for driving 70 MPH in a 45 MPH zone. Upon contact with the driver, she displayed signs of impairment and was arrested for DUI. She refused to provide a breath sample, so a search warrant was obtained to draw her blood. Her blood was drawn at the hospital, and following completion of paperwork, she was booked at the SF ADC.
