Deputies responded to the location in reference to an unattended death and made contact with the reporting party. During the course of the investigation the office of the medical investigator was contacted (OMI). The Investigator determined the deceased passed away from natural causes.

Deputies responded to the location in reference to an unattended death and made contact with the reporting party. During the course of the investigation the office of the medical investigator was contacted (OMI). The Investigator and Deputies did not observed any signs of foul play.
Case #2024001900 Larceny, Suspicious Activity

Stolen: Mail
Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to stolen mail. Deputies were advised unknown suspect(s) stole opened mail boxes in the area and stole mail from within the mail boxes. The male was in a white in color Honda sedan, that had been reported as stolen at the time of this incident. The suspect(s) have not been identified at this time.
Case #2024001902 Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle

Location: Camino Largo, Santa Fe
Stolen: Red Maverick CanAm side by side ATV
Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to a stolen motor vehicle. Deputies were advised an unknown suspect(s) stole a CanAm Maverick side by side ATV. The vehicle also had a lift and sound system installed. The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen.
Case #2024001901 Aggravated Assault, Criminal Trespassing

Location: Los Pinos Road, Santa Fe
Summons: Santiago Anchondo Garcia, 59 YOA male, Santa Fe
Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to an ATV complaint. Upon arrival, Deputies were advised suspect was on the property, driving a side by side ATV. When the suspect was confronted by management, he attempted to run him over. A criminal summons was issued for the suspect.
Case# 2024001887 - Aggravated D.W.I, Careless Driving 4/13/24

Arrestee: George Gillis (54 YOA Male)
Deputies responded to single vehicle collision and made contact with the driver. The driver showed signs of impairment and was taken into custody after a D.W.I investigation was conducted. The driver was booked and charged accordingly without further incident.
Case #2024001873 - Driving While License Revoked, Proof of Ins, Failure to Register - 4/12/2024

Arrested: Juan Esperanza-Pena (26 YO)
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for suspended registration. Contact was made with the driver who was found to have a revoked license due to a DUI. While conducting a check on the vehicle, Deputies also discovered the vehicle did not have valid registration or insurance. Driver was arrested and charged.

Arrested: Manuel Erives (26 YOA)
Deputies responded to a call for service in reference to a welfare check. During the investigation, it was learned Mr. Erives had an active arrest warrant. He was transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility and booked accordingly.

Stolen: 2024, gray in color, Toyota Corolla / I-Phone
Victim: 35 YOA
Deputies responded to a call for service in reference to an unlawful taking of a motor vehicle. Between 11:00 pm on 4/11/2024 and 6:00 am on 4/12/2024, the victim discovered his vehicle was stolen from the Butterfly Springs apartments. The victim reported his a phone was also in the vehicle. This vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen.

Arrested: Mario Ornelas (37 YO), Devon Garcia (40 YO)
Deputies were dispatched to the residence for concern for the wefare of 4 children. Investigation was conducted which resulted in the children being placed with another family member, and both parents getting arrested. Devon was also booked on an additional warrant for her arrest.
