On Thursday, February 2, 2017 at approximately 9:26pm, Deputy responded to location in reference to a stolen motor vehicle. While vehicle was parked at the location, suspects stole a jacket containing the keys to the above vehicle and removed the vehicle from the location without the victim's permission. Investigation is ongoing.

On the above date, Deputy Eccles was dispatched to the area of Ojito Drive in reference to a residential burglary. Upon arrival it was determined between the hours of 11:00 am and 3:30 pm, unknown suspects made unlawful entry into the residence and stole the above items. There are no known suspects at this time, case is under investigation.
0217001535, Death investigation, 2-2-2017

Location: El Potrero Road, Chimayo, NM
Decedent: 91 year old male.
Deputies responded to the location in reference to a male subject not conscious and not breathing. The decedent was complaining of body aches and neck pain earlier in the morning. Medics arrived on scene and exhausted all measures of life, but were unsuccessful. No signs of foul play were observed. Cause of Death will be determined by the Office of the Medical Investigator.

Arrested: Nicholas Gallegos, 28-year-old male from Santa Fe N.M.
On 02-02-17 jail staff located three Suboxone strips and a hypodermic syringe on Mr. Gallegos.
Case-0217001509-Battery against a household member

On the above date, I was dispatched to the above location in reference to a civil standy. Upon arrival, I observed parties appearing to argue and yell towards one another. The parties were seperated and contact was made with the victim, who had blood emitting from his upper lip. I also observed a small scratch and red marks on the left side of the victims neck as well. It was learned the suspect arrived at the location to retrieve belongings when an argument ensued over belongings.. It was learned the victim was punched with a closed fist by the suspect, causing the injury to his mouth. The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to SF Count ADC without incident.

On the above date, Deputy Jaramillo was dispatched to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility in reference to an inmate found in possession of a controlled substance. Upon arrival it was determined the above listed suspect was found in possession of heroin and suboxone. Inmate Alvarez was rebooked without incident.

On the above date Deputy Jaramillo was dispatched to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center in reference to an inmate in possession of a controlled substance. Upon arrival it was determined the above listed inmate was found in possession of marijuana and an orange film like substance consistent with suboxone. The inmate was rebooked without incident.
