Suspect: Carlos Perez – 58 - Albuquerque, NM
Charges: Battery
The suspect, who had recently been booked on other charges, was place in a holding cell with several other inmates. The suspect was intoxicated and immediately became belligerent with several other inmates in the cell. When one of the other inmates would not give the suspect his blanket the suspect hit him in the eye with his elbow, causing a laceration.
The suspect was rebooked on the additional charge of Battery.

A Santa Fe County Sheriff's Deputy initiated a traffic stop with the listed person after observing a traffic violation. Contact was made with the driver and an odor of on alcoholic beverage was smelled. The driver was asked to submit to sobriety testing. The driver displayed signs of impairment and was arrested. The driver submitted to chemical testing with the results being .10, .10 . The driver was booked into the Santa Fe County Jail.

Person Arrested- Joaquin Romero 32 yo Santa Fe
Deputies were dispatched to the above location regarding a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, the above listed person fled from the scene and was located a short time later. Deputies noticed an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath and person. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked accordingly.

Items taken- Purse, credit cards, cash
Between 5:45 pm and 6:30 pm, unknown subjects forced entry into a 2014 Jeep and took the above listed items. Value of damage and items taken was $585. It was also found that charges had already been made on the stolen credit cards. Case is under investigation.

Between 4:00 pm and 6:30 pm unknown subjects forced entry into a 2002 Toyota 4Runner and took the above listed items. Vallue of damage and items is $250. Case is under investigation.

Above listed person was stopped at the above address after almost striking a marked police unit and striking a curb on the roadway. Field sobriety tests were administered, the driver showed signs of impairment and he was subsequently arrested.

On Thursday, May 26, 2016 at approximately 3:48am, deputy responded to location in reference to an inmate found in possession of a controlled substance. Suspect was found in possession of a syringe and suspected Suboxone. Suspect was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

On Thursday, May 25, 2016 at approximately 10:42pm, deputies responded to location in reference to a purse snatching. An unknown suspect struggled to get the victim's purse. The purse fell to the ground and the suspect picked up the purse and left the area. Investigation is ongoing.
