Deputies were dispatched to the area of HWY 14 and Vista del Sol in reference to a red auto driving the wrong way. Deputies observed a red vehicle in the intersection and initiated a traffic stop. The driver displayed signs of impairment and was requested to submit to sobriety testing. The driver was arrested and submitted to chemical testing with the results being .24 .23. The driver was taken to jail where he was booked accordingly.

A Deputy was dispatched to the county jail in reference to an inmate being found to have in his possession a controlled substance. The inmate had approximately one ounce of heroin in his sock. The inmate was rebooked into jail with the additional charge.

Victim reported that someone walked into his home and stole a Tan Wallet, 6 Credit Cards, $180.00 in Cash, 2 Gold Rings, 1 Gold Bracelet, and 1 Seiko Watch. The burglary occurred sometime between the hours of 10:00am and 5:00pm. One of the Credit Cards was found to have been used at Lowes on Zafarano St.
Investigation is ongoing.

Deputies responded to ambulance assist for an unresponsive 82 year old female. Medics were unable to find any signs of life. Death appears to be of natural causes. No foul play suspected.

On 07-01-16 employees of the Dairy Queen found a outside window broken. The broken window allowed access to the manager’s office. Once inside the office the suspect pried open a locked wooden cabinet that is used to store the cash register drawers. An inventory showed that $ 500.00 was missing.

Person Arrested- Michael Romero 42 yo Santa Fe, NM
Deputies were dispatched to the above listed residence regarding service of a warrant. Above listed person pulled into the driveway in his vehicle and noticed deputies and immediately left the area and parked it a short distance away and fled the area into a nearby residence. Subject was located and taken into custody.

Inmate reported to Deputy that he was struck in the face by the listed suspect. Deputy spoke to inmate suspect and he admitted to striking the victim inmate. Suspect inmate was rebooked into jail with the additional charge.

A deputy initiated a traffic stop after observing a vehicle traveling with its lights turned off. Contact was made with the driver and an odor of alcoholic beverage was detected. The diver was asked to submit to testing with the driver complying. The driver was arrested after impairment was detected. The driver was taken to the hospital for a blood draw. The driver was admitted into the hospital for unrelated medical issues.

A resident in the Seton Village Area found a large amount of mail in his trash can. The mail was taken from a number of mailboxes in the Seton Village Area. Deputies are attempting to contact all of the victims to find out how much and what type of mail might be missing.
